the operation is not stupid, only the girl is stupid, she is probably the owner of the house, was low on cash was in with the wrong crowd and was probably told it was low risk and was pushed into it by some dealer she knows who she was probably buying 10 bags from.
She probably couldn't have afforded that equipment so it was all put in place for her, the actual brains of the op plugged into the streetlamps to draw free power, so even if they got away with it for a few months, they made some money out of it and covered the lamps the free electricity was completely free to them, but the woman is left with all the shit.
Thats generally how these kind of ops work.

They got nicked before harvest so they lost everything.

an intelligent operation would have done it at a fraction of the size and paid for the electric, the guys running the show didn't care at all about any of that, they went all out and filled the house.
they really didn't care about her getting caught, they were interested in max number of plants for as long as they could get away with it, they knew it wouldn't be for long because they've had lots of other guys get busted before her.

the operation did exactly what they wanted to achieve,
the stupid one in this situation is the one that agreed to let someone else put that much shit in their house.
i don't agree with it in anyway, i've just seen it be done to people and these people didn't really have any idea what they were getting into, just sold an idea of getting an easy income.

look back over the post, I never attacked you or anything, I just stated an opinion that is based upon knowledge of how these things go in the uk.
Obviously these guys wanted to get as many harvests out of the way as possible, but everyone knows what happens when you hook up to electric like that, which means these guys obviously knew that something like this would go down. They knew at some stage and probably how long that would take to get there based on previous knowledge.
They are probably gutted about losing the crop no doubt, but they won't give a shit about the girl.
My point in this is the same and always has been, the system is exactly what they planned out, a few big grows, get what they can and run, fuck the person who's sitting on it.
The stupidity comes from the person agreeing to let these people do this in the first place.
You look around on this forum at real growers who do this for the passion and its a whole league apart from these guys that just ruin peoples lives for a quick turnover.
