Probably about 130.

Don't think for a second that prices go up in england based on price, they don't.

There are a few strains that do sell for big money.

Cheese, chronic are both big money earners.

there are much better out there, but these are the weapons of choice for most uk tokers at the moment

i wouldn't care what it is, it took the same effort to grow as anything else so the dealer shouldn't take the piss :) it's a matter of principal for me, doesn't matter what the strain is if you're gonna ask £200 from me, i ent gonna pay. £160 is as high as i'll go and even that is slightly cheeky

take it from a growers point of view instead,

you've put the hard work in, to get the quality, you've spent the extra to get decent beans. you really love those plants and take care of them and see them through and finish and dry them properly.

Now some commercial guy is knocking out mango, its cut 2 weeks early because he's in a rush, its dried in 2 days, its grown ok, but potency isn't all that. taste is pretty much non existent, but because of the way the market is, he can still sell it at 130,s on the oz.

wouldn't you want more for your bud or would you be prepared to let it go at the same amount as the guy who did it on the cheap

I think Jack is one of the top strains again it is how you grow it

With a little TCL it will be one of the best smokes

no doubt at all,

just the kids these days don't know shit and all they care about is the kush or the cheese, they don't know about the old skool

I guess what I a am looking for is I want to grow something that is awesome!!!! And there are so many strains out there I am having a hard time deciding on what strain to go with. I have 3---1000 Sodium lights and will grow indoors. So I might as well grow the best while I am at it... Anyhelp on the best strain would be nice and if I have some left over then I will sell to friends at a reduced cost to help off set the price of elec, water and such....So right now what is the top 5 strains??????

Thanks,

Randall

There is no answer for that question, everyone has a different view on the best

But you are on track with JH

Northern Lights, SAGE, Super Skunk, White Widow are all great strains, I would try some out and see what works for you and your set up

If you have a place to grow, it is trail and error that helps us grow

Good luck on whatever you choose

most strains are totally subjective. i was chatting to a mate about the exodus cheese and he was adamant that he did not enjoy the smoke and did not appeal to him..

other people find strains far too racy and such for their liking, others don't offer enough of a body high.

just keep growing new things.

they are going mad for fruity flavors in the uk at the moment, pink grapefruit, blueberry does well, cheese, lemon.

these are the strains that will change hands for good money

i wouldn't think hey, i can sell for more then, if they're gonna sell crap for £160, then i'd match and force their hand or whatnot. people will soon realise that theycould get ounces for X which was crap, or ounces for X which was stella, things would start to change around.

unfortunately anyone that does grow for selling and profit, generally looses perspective and starts trying to bring in every penny.

why shouldn't the quality of the weed effect the price

because the price for quality benchmark that we use is set by the comerical guys. they want as much money as they can, so send it onto the streets early for big money, that doesn't mean we then use that as the "normal" and put the price up according to what your grade is.

something like Psycho etc, well that should sell at 160 an ounce tops.

i don't care if the comercial guy is also selling at 160 for crap, his should be more like £60 for crap, and people will catch on if just everyone worked in a slightly more selfless way :)

i'm an idealist i guess, undercut the big boys and get some propper gear on the streets. there is FAR too much shite going around the UK

Randall, that is tough... top five based on yeild?potency? ease of grow? costs for beans? indica? sativa?

Starting to get the picture? With 3 1000 HPS you could grow a dozen of 3 strains... 36 plants... start and keep good notes and records....

what i learned was, you can lower your prices and try and put some fair trade out on the market, but they guys selling it will just put the price up and make a shit load,

so you sold it at £130 standard price for an ounce, he knows the quality and knocked it out for 200, he makes 70 quid for sitting on his ass while people come to him and he's done in a night, you spent the last 3 months making the stuff, you have overheads for the running of the gear and you took 130.

your idealism only hurts you my friend, it doesn't benefit someone, because someone shady will just take the profit, get paid properly for what you have done.

i'm not after the profits, i have a fiull time job, so it is very different in my situation.

but at the end of the day i wouldn't care about the slight loss of profits, if it meant that the area prices would start dropping. guy i normally buy from buys his in, fairly nice stuff for £160 and he sells it at £160 an ounce, he knows that there is no point in profuit for the sake of profit, he kept everything reasonable regardless of strain, and as such he now control the weed and coke market for an entire corner of the city, within about 12 months? i can fully understand what you're saying, but i'm not in a situation where i'm hurting myself form not seling for enough, that's why i have a job.
