A week old...How they look?

Hey dudes....and dudetts (just read this long thread about some girl crying because she's was tired of being called "bro" or "man"...ridiculous.) Anyway, this is my first grow, below are pictures of two different plants that are about a week old, I think. I'm growing in Foxfarm's ocean forest soil mixed with some compost ( mostly fine bark) and some soilless organic-based aeration media from botanicare. I think they're growing pretty slow IMO, atleast from looking at other peoples plants that are about 1.5 week old. I'm also using HO T5 lights, a 4 bulb 4 foot fixture. I had about 6 seedlings but they all died except these two, Idk why though, they just end up shriveling up in a few hours and die. Tell me what you think tho:-P

P.S. First two pics are one plant and the other two are the other, and the last one's my setup...for now.

They look awesome. Don't worry some much about length of time in veg they vary alot for plant to plant, cutting to cutting.

Ye bro thats what im talking about, they just seem small. I used rockwool to start them out and then transferred to soil.

Your compost is mostly fine bark, I have read that bark soaks up nitrogen. Just monitor them and see....I use a fish emulsion rated at 5-1-1 for veg. Check out my post in Organics, My Shizzi is the title.

yeah i bought rockwools and thought hmm they wont get any nutes or anything so i went with germinating them for 2 days in a moist paper towel and zip bag then right to soil they sprouted and started growing after day 1..

So did you get the fish emulsion? How are your plants lookin now? I update my post with pics weekly...my plants are noticeably growin and some are getting close to going into the flower room.

I can't stress enough how important, light, water and nutes are...

I must admit, my plants do suffer from some heat stress and minor nute burn here or there....but for the most part all is going well.

Your plants Bezzin, should be huge now, are they?:bigjoint:

He said they died.....the one who started this post.......but did you transplant out of the rockwool when you went to soil or did you leave them in the rockwool...........? You should have left them in.........put your babies close to the light because those don't get too hot, and water accordingly.........after they sprout, their running.......their weeds...........temperature must be just right.........they need humidity.........good circulating air.......nitrogen......fish emulsions.........the best 5-1-1, it's a stand alone.........i use tons of brown sugar.....they love it..........mist daily with the brown sugar....go over the top of that with regular water misting.........

So u too use fish emulsions? 5-1-1 is enough for veg? I am curious because thats what I use is fish emulsions...

Brown sugar is for their energy right? I might have to try that brown sugar thing....how much sugar and water?:bigjoint:
