How much growth???

Hi all just got a quick question for you all. I just started growing and I have about 5 feet of height in my grow room. So I was wondering when i should switch from veg to flower. Im using a 400 watt light, i know every plant is diff but just a general idea would be great. Like will it double in flower so I should start flowering at 2.5 feet or......

i'd leave a couple of feet from the light for flowering... You don't want your colas hitting the light with say, 3 weeks to go, and no room for them anylonger....know i what i mean..

Ok so sounds like your saying it will atleast double in size then in flowering??

Triple in size. Shit, if you flowered at 2.5 feet youd be touching the bulb in the first 2 weeks. five foot from the floor or the top of the pots and is that 5 foot to the bulb or ceiling. 5 ft is just about managable from the pots to bulb other wise you wanna flower really small like 10 inches maximum.

My grow box its self is five feet tall and the light takes up about six inchs of that. So with the pots that leaves me with about 4 feet of growth. I do have air cooled vent so my plants can praticaly touch the light so should i flower at around a foot then to give it 3 feet of grow room?
