That is way to early, the weed will be useless no high at all just a headache, let it mature for as long as it needs if you want something worth smoking.;-)

I'm going to assume 4th week of flower. My first grow I experimented with this. The yield will be considerably smaller; I mean WAY smaller. The high you will get off this yield will most likely be light buzzes that fade quickly.
Why not wait until the 10th week?

Also, I chapped a plant early (about week 7 into flowering) and the difference in taste compared to a plant that flowered full term is night and day. The young plant is way harsh.

Just my experiences. If I were you, I would be patient and wait the 10 weeks. You'll get better quality and more quantity if you do.

this is true:leaf: my friend chops early all the time and the weed sucks, he does everything write appart from chopping 3 weeks early all the time

why are u wanting to chop so soon anyway? youve done all the hard work and went to the expense and trouble of waiting this long so why not give it a another 3 weeks at least, and even thats really not long enuff. i was going to chop mine tomorrow, that will be 7 weeks of flower and yes the colas are large and lookin real good but i saw sum pics from a guy growing the same strain as me ( the church) and the difference was bloody massive, his buds were fuller, richer looking and almost cone shaped, mines are tall and tubular( not a great word choice but you know what i mean!)the hairs were all reddish brown , his grow is two weeks further on than mine and hes goin for another two weeks, this maybe too much but i will definetly be going 9 weeks and then 3 days of total darkness. i recon 2 to 3 extra weeks will put around 25 to 40% on the yeild as well as producing a much richer and mature smoke. dont do it man it'd be a waste.

here are the other two 4th week as well

i would never ever cut that early unless i really had to as said, the yeild and high will be pretty crappy, and what looks like a "big" bud on the plant this early, will grind down into jack shit, and you'll find you're out of smoke before the weekend is up :)

as in party cups? that will require lots of frequent watering.

and yes, unfortunately it's all about patience. i know i have a cheese in flower that i could cut and smoke now, and it would probably last me about 2 days due to it's potency and yield. i know this would save me some money until the rest are done. i also know if i say screw it, i might end up with 3 ounces of the best bud around by waiting another 5 weeks. patience is probably one of the more important sides to growing.

:bigjoint:
if you are any good at growing and use good stock you can get quite tirippy high buzz off buds from 5-6 weeks into flowering but you will have less bud..........if you leave it to long and she fills with resin she will become harsh and the stone less heavy...all a matter of taste at the end of the day but you waited this long havent you..so wait a while longer:bigjoint:

wait until the pistils sink into the bud kinda and itll look very ready, or get a cheap handheld microscope from radioshack for 7 bucks and loook at the trichomes and decide what kinda high you want from the plant. Also mix 1-2 teaspoons of mollases per gallon of water to make the buds swell up really nice. 6 or 7 weeks maybe till harvest. itll be worth the wait
