To chop or not to chop?

Hey all - I have a Strawberry Deisel plant that is only on day 55 of 12/12. Soon I have to leave town for five days. My plan had been to let it ride and harvest when I get back. Looking at trichomes, I'm seeing a lot of amber. It's either chop tomorrow or wait a week. What would you do?

The breeder says it's a 9-10 week flower time. I'm inclined to wait unless it's going to be overdone.

I would wait a week and then probably wait one more for good measure. It's looking dank for sure but nowhere near chop tomorrow ready

Thanks guys. Kind of thought that would be the answer but it's nice to confirm. All that amber threw me for a loop.

If the white "hairs" are still straight and trichomes are clear, the plant is too young to harvest. The harvest window opens when new white hairs stop forming and at least 40% have darkened and curled. Peak THC occurs when most trichomes turn milky, giving a euphoric high. The window closes when trichomes darken to amber, leading to a more sedative effect. If trichomes look dull or withered, the window has passed.
