150w hps sunsystem to MH ? possible ?

hey i recently purchased a 150 watt sun system light asked the guy at my local hydro store if i could get an enhanced blue light or MH for it he said they dont make it highly doubt that so any help would be great limited on space so wanting the mh instead of the hps to cut down on stretching

come on guys i know someone has to have the answer i have heard and not a hundred percent sure about the factuality of this statement but apparantly u can putt a lower wattage mh in an hps ballast it will shorten the life of the MH but it does work true

floro and clfs are good for good inter noding.

hps shouldnt make it streach that much. put it about 12 inches from it.

i would waste my money on buying a mh just on worrie about it stretching

thanks for the opinion i have a 125w fluorescent grow light in a bat wing already the hps was a lumens booster and also was hoping to increase the yield and im mainly looking into the mh cause the plants utilizes more of that light spectrum so if possible id love to give mary what she deserves the best ?

Put your fluoro a couple inches from the plant to cut back on stretching. Save your hps for flowering, and then use your fluoro for supplemental lighting. Increased lumens during veg doesnt really effect your yield too much, it only makes your plant grow faster.

.... oh and to answer your original question, no you cant put a mh in the 150 sun system. Only the 250w and higher sun systems are switchable. you might be able to find a 150w mh conversion bulb, but i doubt it. I think they start at 175w.

wat? i use a 150 watt hps fer veg, and a 400 fer flower, i have NO stretching, i keep that bitch like 6 or 7 inches from the top of my lil plant i got goin in veg (dwc) and does really good??

mine is at the moment like 7-9 inches away cause i was seeing a lil burnin b here is a pic i move the second cfl opposite the first just did it this way for a pic
