First grow, help is appreciated

I need to stop talking to her so much. I can barely notice growth because I look at her so much. I measured her just a few minutes ago and she is over 14 inches and standing tall and loving the mh lamp.I will switch it to hps on Monday. I think I will have to raise the lamp tomorrow if she keeps stretching like this. I will snap a pic before lights out. The soil leaves look to be flattening out too. I think it will be ok once it dries out a couple days.

Think the soil will recover? AG is looking healthy overall. A little nute burn on a few rear leaves. It may have been there for a while and I just didn't notice when it was in the closet. AG drank over a pint today and grew a couple inches since yesterday. heh

oh its not dead till its gone. The dirt will be fine , just let it dry up real good. i think u are in flower right now and that will be very bad on the yield, but it will recover. i keep forgetting that u are growing auto's and those are completely different. if it was not an auto , i would say to put it back in 24 or 18 hours of light till its recovered. i dont like to have any probs in flower as it will fuck with the yield bigtime. the other bitch is a beauty! her lower half is a lil droopy , but all an all she is very healthy. i have not looked at your shedule yet, but i would stick to 50% for now. food is a very hard thing to get right, you have to know what your plant wants in your enviroment. the ONLY way to do that is test yourself.


if that dirt is not dry in a week then dont freak out , just leave it until it is dry. if it is that wet (mud) then it might get alot worse before it gets better.........not sure.
i know it sucks to always see them cause you never get to "see" much growth but the more time u give them the better!
them fuckers love being talked to. (and it wont hurt to puff one with um every now and then )

The soil is looking better and leaves are flattening out.It even has new growth and growing steady. The ag is growing nice too. It is doing great with the 2/3 nutes. It is growing about an inch a day. The new growth is getting huge. When I lift the foliage I can see where all the buds are gonna form. White hairs are popping up everywhere.

And I always puff with them. heh That is my puff spot.

I dropped the light to about 9 inches or so. I switched to hps and it runs a few degrees hotter but still stays about 82-84 and she is growing nice. Soil is stunted and growing very slowly but still growing. I guess I jinxed myself talking about how easy soil is. heh I will try to get some pics later.
Oh yeah btw there is a new edition to the group. I planted a northern light from nirvana and it sprouted last night. The leaves are starting to turn green and open up to kick off the shell. I have it under 26w cfl now. I don't want to kill it with the hps. Maybe I will sneak it into the tent with a cfl so it is far from the hps. Hmmm Or maybe do it 20/4 for a week then into the tent for 12/12.

thats what i would do. only because you only have a couple. and then of course the more things u try the more u learn!
vegging a plant to size before flowering is a whole other ballgame in my opinion. it allows more time for probs to show. then it takes some practice to learn just how tall a certain strain will get, an whatnot.
Are all your strains nirvana? maybe i should just be downgrading Ice and not the company who produced it?

All except 1 Joint DR. Lowryder fem seed and about 50 bagseeds. The bag seeds are from various nice buds I have been collecting. Some are from some alleged "bubblegum"and "haze" and different named strains I have gotten from buddies of mine. Unless I am growing it myself I do not trust the names people put on street weed.
Stoned n rambling but anyways. I hear good things about Nirvana and the price is right for a newb like me. I have only had 1 seed from nirvana that hasn't germinated and I think it was my fault by cooking it in its shell. heh I have ordered from Nirvana twice and single seed centre once and very happy with both so far. Nothing finished yet though so I really can't judge. But this short rider was stinking up my whole house like a skunk before I got my filter. If it tastes as good as it smells I will be happy.

Ok I broke down and transplanted the dirt into a bigger pot err aaaahm 3 gallon bucket with holes poked in it. I was grooming the soil to dry out quicker and it was like a giant mud pie about 3 inches down. The roots were still white and looked healthy except for the few that grew out the bottom of the pot and dried up. The ag grew an inch over night and is now about 19 inches. I have been moving the branches around a bit so they can grow above the huge fan leaves. Some were growing up and getting stopped by the stems of the fan leaves. If she gets much taller I may have to raise the light.

them huge fans are a very good thing, thats where all the photosyshit takes place, and it also breaths through the undersides of the leaves (the stomata, i think is what its called)
move them around all u want but do not pinch them off or nothin like that.
and if that dirt was mud then it probably wont hurt to repot.

Yeah I am not cutting anything off that isn't dead already. I may trim off 2 big droopy nute burned fans at the bottom. One I already caught on duct tape and ripped a couple leaflets to shreds.

These plants have taken quite a bit of abuse. There is a huge difference in growth since I got the HID lights. I will have to raise the light tomorrow or tonight before they sleep. They are about 6 inches away now and I don't want them to get a spurt and wake up to burned plants.
The northern light is standing straight up now and the shell fell off. The leaves were a little off but now they're a really nice shade of green. The stem is kinda soft and wimpy compared to every other seed I have germed but I am not gonna mess with it. I have it under a 26w 6400k cfl on a 12/12 schedule.

Thanks man. The buds are forming, it is cool to watch. She is growing an inch a day, 20 inches now. I am wondering about the main cola. New nodes keep opening and no signs of a cola yet. I can see the buds starting to form on the branches but not so much at the cola because of all the growth and new nodes opening up. When does it form?

OK I have some pics for yahs of the sexy AG female. I gave her a bath today and changed up her res. I am keeping her at 2/3 power because she burnt a little before as you can see in the pics. ok Here are the pics. PIC1: Overall pic PIC2: Top view compared to a stove top. She is as wide as she is tall. PIC3: One of the branches got caught under a fan leaf and got a little crushed but will be ok i think. PIC4: some undergrowth. She is doing good. The waterlogged one is getting better and has new growth but it is a little twisted and funky. But it is growing.

Oh yeah, she is over 20 inches now.
