All the plants are looking good, but yes, there is a bit of yellowing. You need to increase your N.

Adjusting the water's pH is a waste of time. Don't worry about it.

Good luck,
UB

Really? I always thought and read that Adjusting waters PH was very important.

I've noticed with the nutrients i'm using right now they always have a very low PH reading always at around 3 or so, so I find myself adding quite a bit a PH up.

Do you mind explaining to me why I shouldn't bother, I need to know now.

Yes, you keep on reading that stuff around here, doesn't mean it's so, just means folks like to talk about stuff they know nothing about. Soil is a powerful buffer, do an experiment. Unless your tap water is out of wack, say.....5.0 or 9.0, it can be used without any adjustment. The pH chatter has no merit except in hydro.

Exactly how and what are you measuring, and with what instrument?

I'm using RO water from the water store and the PH reading on that is always at around 6ish, so I guess it's not out of wack water.

I measure the waters PH after I add nutrients which is always pretty low around the red area of the chart I use, Then I adjust accordingly with PH up Until it's at around the light green color of the chart which is around 6.5 according to the chart.

AM I wasting my time doing all this ^^^ then?

I'm not using a PH meter, I would like to purchase one but i'm not ready to dish out 50 bucks for one just yet. This is what i'm using to test my waters PH as of now.

Would you recommend I buy a PH tester or is this good enough? :leaf:

Well, I was using the exact same kit for a moment there. I bought a pH pen and things have been going a lot smoother. Those kits are not that accurate really. I was wondering why you say your pH is at like 3 when you nute up. We have the same nutes, and I also use RO water...my pH comes out to about 5.2 - 5.3 after adding nutes. BTW, R/O should be a pH of like 6.8 - 7.0...so that should give you an idea of how off your kit is.

Good thing UncleBen is right about soil being a great buffer huh? Your plants have been growing just fine. If it were me I'd be SOL...I'm in CoCo...so pH is a big factor for me.

Yea it reads at being in the red level which is 3ish so I just go by what the chart says.

I need to save me the trouble and buy a PH meter on ebay. :-(

If you buy one, do not buy a Milwaukee one. They only give you a 30 day warranty on their economy models. Hanna gives 6 months on their economy models. I wouldnt buy a economy model though from either one. My milwaukee one went kaput after 40 days, and pretty much the same amount of time for my Hanna one.

I personally use this one:

http://www.mightyhydro.com/Waterproof_EcoTster_pH1_p/ok35423-00.htm

I have not had any issues with it at all. It can use just about any pH buffer solution too, which is nice. As long as the solution is 4.0, 7.0, or 10.0 this thing will recognize it and buffer without a hitch. I really wanted the 2 model, cause there is no need to worry about the temps of what you are testing. Still, haven't had a problem with it. $60 well spent I'd say.

No problem man. I am kind of partial to that website, the guys who run it are kind of friends of mine. Ya know, spend a few grand in someones store..they tend to like you. Odd I know.

So I do them a favor and drop their link here and there where appropriate...even if I doubt people are going to buy anything. I'm kind of a web geek...SEO benefits and all from linking back to an inner page of their site from another decent PR site.

Crap..wrong forum for this talk..my bad. :wall:

So when is your cut em down date roughly Terror?

I would love you too if you spent a few g's in my store I mean if I had one.

I'm aiming for Mid Feb but that most likely isn't going to happen atleast not for the
G-13 and Fire OG, So i'm shooting for late FEB or The begining of March, we'll see how it goes.

I have plans already for my next run.
Gonna get a Grow tent and exhaust fan :-P
I'm gonna run a few White rhinos and cannadentials compliments of Geffcardo, maybe a couple of Purple extreme as well.

Day 30 12/12

Hello people, well we're at day 30 here I would say we have 1 month and a half left on this grow, Maybe. I watered today with Plain RO water no nutes, I also sprayed neem oil on the top and bottom fan leaves I was careful not to hit the buds. I can start seeing alot of crystal production and the g-13 is smelling pretty sweet literally. Lots of pictures Enjoy...

Thanks man, but I don't think they are going to be able to support all the bud weight that will be packing up in the next few weeks. I'm gonna end up tying the branches to a stake no biggie though.
