Right, my temperatures are dropping too much during the night cycle, what can i do to get them up a bit?

I run the osc. fan 24/7 so thats during the night cycle aswell, would turning it off help reduce heat loss?

Open to any ideas providing it doesn't involve a space heater because its just too much electric (the only one i have is 1300W and imagine that after a few hours every day!).

Thanks in advance +rep for good answers.

So far my only suggestion is shoving some sort of plug in their which get hot, like a transformer plug for a electric piano or summin, so HELP! :P

Like the othe post, tiny heater on a timer, or vent u furnace into it. If u vent into it, u can kill the fan at night, as the pressure will move air around. Maybe a small 2" flextube, spliced in.

depends on the size of the room.if small, putting an old electronic device (VCR,stereo) under the plants will help but if you are in a room or large closet, you will need a heater.most have hi/low setting or a thermostat so it wont run at 1300 watts all the time.

if your on 12/12 switch the light cycle to on during the coldest hours and off in the warmer hours. other than that i see no other way than a heater. really depends on the room and if it's in your home or a shed. how cold is it getting?

I have similar problems and I went out to get a low wattage heater (300W was the lowest I could find - the one I had prior was 600W or more and kept tripping the breaker). I put it on a plug-in thermostat that turns on when the temperature drops below 14.

Is your grow room well insulated? That's something I could also do a better job on.

Yes! Also a good idea which I implemented. Lights come on at 7pm... on overnight when the basement gets the coldest.

(I've also heard of having a tub of water in the grow room, which heats up during the lights on period, and after the lights go off, releases that heat at night. Haven't tried it though.)

get an extition cord then ru a heating pad in there. run the heating pad on a different timer so it is off when lights are on.
