There is only one American Pit Bull Terrier. no more than that, if anybody is referring to a pitbull they are usually referring to that.. bacc in the older days when dogfighting was legal.. all of these dogs were considered pit bulls.. because they worked in the pit(whether bull/bear, or dog on dog). and they were crossed with bulldogs. they were also called bull and teriers earlier on.. for obvious reason. there are bloodlines out there which have been crossed and people are trying to pass them off as american pitbull terriers or "bullies" .. i.e.: razors edge, gotti, muglestons. which are by no means pitbulls or types of pitbulls .

the smaller one is a girl and the other is a boy. i never got him nutered so he got big. the girl is small tho but really fiesty not in a bad way. how old is your dog?
She just turned a year. Yea I had her fixed before she went into heat so she didn't get so wide but she is pretty tall (for a pit). Yea those to look like a lot of fun though, I kinda wish I would have got one of her brothers too.

hmm.. I am sure that those bloodlines came from pitbulls?? haha I have a pedigree that goes back decades to proof it..

and I am with you on adopting a dog from the shelter.. but again.. some of us like the finer things in life.. thats like not having a baby because there are many that are starving and need to be adopted..

no.. just some of the blood is apbt.. the rest of the blood is apbt on paper but we all know those papers were hung. there is staffy in some Am Bully in others.. look @ these these dogs do they even look like pitbulls.. nah.. i hate what these bloodlines are doing to this breed.. its just fuckin it up .. a apbt is an lean agile athletic appearing dog with tenacity and attitude but are very human friendly. not big musclebound 80+ lb hippos.. but to each their own if u like... id rather have an AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER on my yard anyday.. than one of those things..

I hate the whole idea that there is such a thing as "aggressive breed dogs". It's complete and utter bullshit propagated by the media. In reality, most dogs operate under the idea that if you show aggressive behavior to them, they will be aggressive right back. If you show love to them, you'll likely receive love back. Therefore all dogs, regardless of breed, will be aggressive if you raise them in an aggressive environment. I've owned numerous "aggressive breed dogs" and all of them have been the most gentle dogs you could ever meet. I currently have a Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix and she's anything but aggressive. It really boils down to common sense, if you treat a kid aggressively too he'll likely become violent towards others. Unfortunately common sense seems to be lacking now a days. :wall:

well said I couldn't agree with you any more, I have been around a lot of pits, rots, Germans and all of them where very loyal and not violent unless provoked.
