if i remember correctly the sun is 10,000 lumens per sqaure foot,so you will probably need to double the amount of lights you have,i have found useing a light meter that plants do not maximize with less than 10,000 lumens.but ive never grown to harvest with cfl,s,my measurement was done with hps.so i may be wrong.Ok I am going to buy a 24 pack of CFL's 2700K which are 1600 lumens each which is 38400 lumens total and my room is 8 sq ft. So my lumens per sq ft would be 4800. Now all I need to know is this a good number for a 4'x2' room growing 3 or 4 plants?
this might help.Ok I am going to buy a 24 pack of CFL's 2700K which are 1600 lumens each which is 38400 lumens total and my room is 8 sq ft. So my lumens per sq ft would be 4800. Now all I need to know is this a good number for a 4'x2' room growing 3 or 4 plants?
2700k is fine for flowering, sure a little more would help, but 2700k is quite red...Should be great for veggin........ta flower you'll need more red in your spectrum tho.
this might help.
