FLood and drain questions ???

I check my 100 gallon res everyday... but I never have to correct anything...

MAYBE a little pH down at day 12... but even then my pH is ALWAYS within range...

No topping off either...

I can actually LEAVE MY OP (and I have) for 2 weeks... and barring equipment failure... everything works like it should...

I use 60 bucks a month in my flower room... and I get 2 pounds a month... sorry I will not change my mind...lol...
So what do you get off each 4x8 table? two 1000 watters over each one. What is the max veg time for the tables if doing 60 plants?

I like BIG res.....

100 gallon res filled to 80 gallons feeds my two 3x3 trays.. FOR TWO WEEKS.. nothing needed....

4 trays ,2 resevoirs.... 4x 600 HPS...

No top off... no extreme pH and PPM fluctuations... no temp swings....

How often you water will depend... straight hydroton can tolerate multiple floods a day...

Mediums that hold a lot of water (like RockWool) cannot be flooded as often... not without issues...
do you use gh or an? if so how much grow.micro.bloom do you use for the 100 gallon(90)? 1-2-3 in bloom would you use 1tsp2tsp3tsp per gallon? or should it be more dilute? i thought rockwell ph was low. does the ph in the water count the most?

Hard to say... I have never used 4x8 trays or 1k lights...

I use 3x3 trays with a 600 HPS over each...

But I usually get right around 1 gram per watt.. or a pound per 600 HPS...

1k lights are a little more challenging to get 1G/W, but it gets done all the time...

I do not believe in vegging.... not in the conventional way anyways...

I fillow Al B. Fuct's system...

https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/6592-get-harvest-every-2-weeks.html

Zero veg clones.. Single Cola Lollipops... 48 per 600 HPS...

do you use gh or an?
Neither...

I am a firm believer of SIMPLE and ECONOMICAL...

So ALL I use in my flower room is One Bloom nute and H2O2... nothing else...

if so how much grow.micro.bloom do you use for the 100 gallon(90)? 1-2-3 in bloom would you use 1tsp2tsp3tsp per gallon? or should it be more dilute?
No idea how to gage like that...

I use a hanna grocheck pH/PPM meter... and I just set it to 1400 PPM from day one until harvest day... no flush...

i thought rockwell ph was low. does the ph in the water count the most?
pH in the Rock Wool (RW) eventually stabilizes...

But I only use small RW cubes for cloning... So the only place I check the pH is in the res...

And since I use straight hydroton, once in the flower room, the RW cubes stay above the flood line... as per Al B. Fuct's illustration...

It seems to me like you are going to attempt something here.... KUDOS TO YOU!!!

But remember... inexperienced cooks MIXING RECIPES DOES NOT WORK WELL... generally speaking...

I would commit to ONE RECIPE.. and follow to the "T".. at least until you have a BASE KNOWLEDGE.. then you can start adding nuts and icing to your cake...

Bake the basic cake a few times before trying to improve on a PROVEN RECIPE....

In all honestly.. I recommend you do what I did...

I said FUCKITALL and just became a FUCTHEAD...

From the very first batch, by following Al B. Fuct's methods, I have achieved 1 G/W... and that is what HE GETS... after running and tweaking his op for 7 years...lol...

Do stand on the shoulders of the giants that came before us...

Use their knowledge, and you will go farther than even they ever dreamed...

Just my opinion though...

Hey gypsy I've been a fan of your work for a while Gr8t job bro. Hey you said you follow the great al b fuct style and you lolli pop your ladies, hey what do you average per plant in the SOG method I just seen this guy had about 100 plants and he harvest about 2 1/2 p he was upset cuz he thought he would get more I thought he would too thats why I asked what do you average per plant cuz I think it was the strain he had that made it so low of a yield its not a good lolli pop strain I think what you think?

With a 4x8 can i ask why you are only doing 60? With a veg time of 5-7 days i do 30 in a 3x3 tray and it works out super with a sea of green.

should i be doing 70? With my strain you get more if you let them grow a bit. Do you have to do a sea of green with tables?

Hard to say...

My problem is that I never got 100% consistent with my weights....

I would say on average each of mine is 10g to 14g...

Some are less some are more...

I like to think of things more in term of Grams per WATT...

so 1200 watts of HPS "should" give you about 1200g, if you are doing it right...

If I had a 4x8 tray and lights to go with it... I would slap 127 lollies on it...

My 3x3 trays get 48 each.... 7 rows of 7 minus one for the fittings....

The ONLY thing that beats a Zero Veg SoG is a VERT Zero veg SoG....

In my experience, vegging plants before flowering is a waste of money and time...

But that is just what me and my crazy selves think... everyone is different...:-P

When you have a veg room there is no veg time anyways. Just space issues.
I do one week of veg to get a good root system. I bet i could fit 100 on a table no problem. what size rockwool cubes?
I have 6 4x8 tables that i got given to me. im going to use saw horses to hold the weight and leave enough room for a 100 gallon.
Im having a hard time figuring out how to maintain your reservoir? topping off and feed. in a 100 gallon res. When the level goes down.. Do you top it off with plain water? do you still add the juice once a week like you would in soilless mix? Do you ph up or down if your water ph is 6.2? give an example plz.

It is really easy to get a "Mom set up" going...

And I find that vegging my lollies ANY, cause more trouble that it's worth...

Veg time allows budsites to become branches, which I would then prune and loose out...

I bet i could fit 100 on a table no problem.
A 4x4 tray fits 8 rows of 8 .. minus one for the fittings.. and you should have no problem slapping 127... :-P

I only use RW for cloning... so I choose the 2" cubes that can stay clear of the flood...

I would DEFINITELY support the middle section... even my 3x3 trays SAG REAL BAD when they are full.... that flex WILL LEAD TO CRACKS eventually...

Make sure you support your trays so they do not flex too much...

What do you mean???:o

In my op... when I fill the res, I do nothing else...

No need to top off... no need to add nutes... no need to do anything other than monitor and correct IF and WHEN a problem arises...

I might have to add a little pH down at the end of the cycle... but SIMPLICITY is the reason I choose a BIG RES...

Do you ph up or down if your water ph is 6.2? give an example plz.
I set my pH at 5.6~5.7 on the first day of a new res...

It will SLOWLY climb... so by the end of 10 days, it MIGHT be up to 6.1~6.3... at that point I may add a little pH down to correct it ... but in all honesty, most of the time I just let it ride, as it never gets above 6.3... and a res change is just days away...

Oh...

Worth mentioning, again, that my res is at a constant 1400 ppm....

I have to do nothing... it just stays there... but in my days before the BIG RES, I would simply adjust the PPM to 1400... if it read HIGH, I added water.. if it read LOW, I added some nutes...

But ever since I moved to BIG RES, things are pretty darn stable...even the temperature of the solution in the res is at constant 63F...:-P

I hope this helps... but feel free to pick my brain anytime...

Haha yea i can build stuff. Im going to still use 3/4 inch plywood to make a table before putting the 4x8 on lol.
thanks for your help. your brain is very knowalable. I want to do a vertical around 1kers a hunder sog plants per light. Have you ever thought bout that?
Kinda like heaths but made out of wood and a little bigger and with a dripp system. I think if you did 100 to a 1000w watt you would get three pounds off a light. That would be good for an apartment where you cant run that many lights. Its genious.
2 1000 watt lights and 100cm charcoal filter with a 8 inch inline. Vent into the bathroom with an open window. You will be getting 5 or 6 pounds off two lights. haha thats great. Vert is the way to go.

VERT and HYdro. Heaths ideas are crazy
The beauty of Heath's design is the simplicity of it all..

EXTREMELY LOW EC (low nute usage) and the efficiency that can only be gained by HIGH PLANT COUNT...

I really believe that a VERT SOG is damn near impossible to beat, dollar for dollar...

And I do stay away from 1k lights... but that is just a personal preference... I think it is easier to achieve 1 gram per watt with the 600 than the 1k...

That is reall all I worry about in my op... EFFICIENCY... how many DOLLARS do I spend to get how many GRAMS...

And that is why I do not believe in ENDLESS ADDITIVES and EXPENSIVE "MAGIK SAUCES"

I use ONE Bloom nute and H2O2 in my flower room... and ONE Grow Nute and H2O2 in my veg room... NOTHING ELSE..

I am not saying that stuff doesn't work...

My point is that I refuse to increase my cost in nutes by 100% to see a return of MAYBE 3%...

To me it just does not make economical sense.... that extra $60 a month can grow another 2 pounds.. instead of giving me an extra zip or 2...:o

But that is just me...

I am lazy.. cheap... and I want the BEST SMOKE at the LOWEST PRICE POSSIBLE...

But I am not about to become like the INDY RACERS.. spending MILLIONS for that 1/10 of a mile an hour faster ...

I am perfactly happy cruising at 167MPH.. I do not need to go 169MPH...lol...

mostly bagseed...

but I got BC Juicy Fruit, Cinderella 99, BC White Widow... and the latest addition is a single seed, hand carried from the hills of Jamaica up to Alaska, still to show sex but Already topped in preparation for a Mom in the making... hopefully it;s not a male...

Worthy of mention is that my 2 top heavy weight producers are bagseed from random weed...

One is a Straight up Sour Indica and the other a Mango smelling Sativa....

I'm lazy and I am also CHEAP... I have never spent a cent on seeds... or clones for that matter...

Yea im rolling with purple kush CLONES that are just finishing. The seeds are bc god bud and bc mango. I dont like the look of that bc juicy fruit. All the bc juicy fruit i have seen dont look like that. What do you know about Jamaican sugar?? The clone guy fucked up on my order and i just relized that when they matured a bit. There is also a couple grape fruits in there. Guess where i am from? I would never bring a seed into a flowering room unless i know its a lady. How many moms do you have to support your flowering room?

Well...

They live under a 400W T-5... fair growth rate for 2 weeks...

And I do not mind them "so lanky".. I do lollipops and I LIKE a bit of stretch...

All I grow are the tops anyways...

Here are my moms a week after donating 70 clones...:-P old pic... but you get the point..

Here is a batch of my clones...:eyesmoke:

After a while.. they look like this...:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

And they finish looking something like this...:weed:

What's your taste?bongsmilie

INDICA

or SATIVA...:eyesmoke:
