Buds tasted so sweet? Why?

I finished my last grow about a month ago. MY FIRST GROW ALSO... wish i had some pics to show. I ended up having to harvest early because i had at least two hermies in there because of light leaks. My question is. I used FF Happy Frog soil. FF liquid trio. and grandmas unsulfured molasses during flowering. While I'm aware that the molasses had to do with the sweetness of the buds. DOES IT REALLY MAKE THAT MUCH OF AN IMPACT. don't get me wrong. I've gotten positive feedback from everyone who's tried them. But they all kinda tasted the same. VERY SWEET. delicious but almost lacking their true flavor. Q 2. Was this also a result of picking early. meaning it didn't quite develop its flavor yet. Harvest was 2-4 weeks too early.

Picking early won't make it sweat. It's probably the way you're curing it. If you do a quick dry and then put them in jars right away, it will have a sweater taste after about 20-30 days, just like you're noticing now. I used to like that taste, but it's the easiest flavor to achieve.

Nice. Makes total sense. My buds were drying way too fast because of low humidity. so once they became crispy i threw em right into jars... great call man that's all i needed to know. I love the taste. but next time i'd like to let the TRUE flavors shine through. and grow them to their full maturity.
