Akward question... Converting soil to Aero? Possible?

I started my plants in soil and now they have outgrown all my pots I have available but I have some ready made totes that are set up for a bubbleponic sort. The question I'm facing is : Is it possible to convert soil to Aeroponic when the plants are already in soil? Is it a bad idea to switch a soil grow to an aero grow due to the soil holding too much water? Has anyone done this before and how did it turn out? I am using miracle grow soil (only available shit near me) and I'm getting tired of the root bound shit lol. Any input would be nice.

YaK

just some guy
i've never done it, but I have read of it being done before on this forum with success.

just wash all of the soil out of the roots and hopefully the plant wont go into too much shock.

have you grown aero before? what type of system?

it is possible..

you can rinse of all of the soil in a bucket of ph d water ... i did it with plants that i put in hydroton everything worked just fine...

i guess it depends on your set up how small the air holes are etc etc etc..

if you get dirt in a real aeroponoics system your gonna plug up the nozzels on the misters and fail .

Home made system using all walmart materials lol. Rubermaid totes and air pumps from walmart. I made my own net pots out of daisy plastic cups and have a 10L bag of hydroton. I'm gonna try to convert on a few of my plants. Will keep you updated on the progress.

convert some 5 gallon buckets to grow pots. only need to drill drain holes in the bottom.

easy way to get rid of soil after removing plant from pot break up the root ball a little. just enough that soil starts falling off after that dunk the root ball in a bucket of water. it may take a few dunkings but the soil will leave the roots. rember be gental. soil is heaver then water. got this idea after watching about mud slides in cali

I'm gonna try it with 1 or 2 of my plants today. I just found some males yesterday so I had to reduce my numbers a little. Sad fact.
