Whats the best trimming device???

Hi I have two ladies both at 33" tall, I expect them to reach 50" am I better off with scissors, and trimming them old school, or should I buy a handheld trimmer, if so which one, I dont really want to pay over 50 quid but depending on whats on offer, I'd prefer to pay a little extra to have quality, than a little less and regret it POST PICS LINKS AND TRIMMING ADVICE!!! old school by hand if you want a really good job done. i imagine an electric trimmer (such as the home made dremel strimmer thing a guy posted earlier somewhere) would be much quicker but would leave the buds full of leaf stalks.

aye, and it's just 2 ladies, not 20, stick a good playlist on light up something tasty and sit back. been meaning to get a pair of scissors like that myself, using large kitchen scissors get's tiring

I pay these 2 young guys to trim my indoor. They make trimming look like an art. My buds come out beautiful. No leaf what so ever unless its left there on purpose. I use a pair of spring loaded fiskers. Cut all of the debris leaf off first(anything without resin). Then cut off all the leaf tips on sugar leaves that have no resin on it, leaving you with just quality trim that you can start your hash pile with. First cut off anything that has a stem sticking out. Get those fisker tips way under the leaf where it ends and gently score the stem then remove it by hand.Then trim off the little leaflets in the buds. This is where sculpting comes in and I suck at this part.

Saw that post last night and thought about the left over stems. However, it seems to me that if you trimmed green while the leaves are still sticking out and then dried in paper bags, the remaining stems could be broken or clipped off very easily. I going to try that since it's so cheap compared to commercial ones.

I use FISKARS, they're cheap ($10US), very sharp, and last forever if you don't use them for stuff like cutting wires or opening oysters. I keep them in vegetable oil and switch as soon as they get sticky.

I find it fastest to trim my buds by hand at first. If you just pull in the opposite direction that the leaf is pointing, it should come right of at them stem; quick and easy. I do it this way all the way down to the sugar leaves, then I will trim those with Fiskars. It makes it a lot faster compared to doing the whole plant with scissors. The only downside is that your fingers are completely covered in goo, so make sure not to run your hand through your hair or go sifting through your favorite goose down pillow.

Wear vinyl gloves when trimming, buy powderless ones. And DON'T TOUCH YOUR EYES. That shit stings.
