Hydro is wayyy more productive (efficient), but soil is where my heart is.

Stressful morning:wall:
I did a complete resovoir change today, replaced 3.5 gallons @849ppm , PH @6.2.
While getting my plants back in, I bent several tops (My tops are flims and stretchy) and broke several leaves off. I got upset, My 3 little girls were all bent out of shape, I had to redo my airlines, I lost an end cap to my gang-valve! I dont even know if < 900ppm is what I want in flowering in dwc, But I couldnt find any info! & apparently the bubbleheads left RIU?

I smoked a bowl and leveled out. I'm worried if I'll stress these plants out.

oh, and I swapped in a Metal Halide bulb this morning to use for a couple days to fatten my leaves up (that was stress free  )

gosh, and my jack frost in soil is giving me a migrane!! I have not fed it in days, I have been flushing with water and clearex, and for some reason the leaves are still crisping over! I have a mind to just kill the plant and move something else into flowering, but I'm already 5 weeks behind on harvesting, and It should be 5 weeks before the twilight is done, and I'm out of bud and money!!!

One of my Lemon OG x Sweettooth sprouts Died.
one is in a hydro flood table type set up, but like my other seedlings, they're not holding up in this cold wheather. Not a good way to end the week =/ ughh, I need some change!
i think this cold weather had a lot to do with my fatalities, bugs love damp and cold. i am growing my new sprouts in root cubes, the bugs dont seem to want to venture in those. i think they a suitible for hydro as well. seem to hold heat better than soil. Mind you one dead sprout aint to bad if the rest are good. Whitechapel? thats a good name, im gonna get to work on that in the summer. gonna grow out a few and select the best phenos. ill prob hit you up with some pics of the widows and church and ask your opinions. peace

Sounds good bro! keep me posted.

I almost picked up the Rockwool cubes, But they aren't re-usable, or biodegradable, so I chose to make my own "cubes" with coco.

I'll have picks of my mini ebb'n'flow's up soon. I always misplace my camera charger!

i use organic root cubes, root riot. shit hot and biodegradable. i think they are peat and coco. homemade cubes are a excelent idea, post some pics:-P

cant find my camera charger!!

I'm starting to realize, when Im really high, I have a way different aspect on where things should be placed, than when I'm sober.

**I swapped my HPS back into the flower box today**
**yesterday I added 3 CFL's for supplemental lighting, but one burnt out!

id like to see that hydro setup and see how it compares to soil grow plants. i was looking at the wilma systems, i like the sound of them. simple to operate and fairly compact

thank you! I'm suprised with the progress from this hydro set up, I almost gave up on it, but since then, its started to flower up nicely. When I touch the leaves and knock the resin, it has a light purple stank, mixed with an Afghan undertone =]

f'n great!

I'm bringing back my Northern Lights for round 2!

I have one plant I just transplanted into a 10q container, with coco and perlite!!!I'm expecting this to be a fantastic grow. I cut the coco with a wee bit of Sunleaves High Phosphorus guano.

The NL will start its flowering this friday! and I will also be expanding my Tent for a little extra room for the ladies

enjoy!

iv heard bat shit is the bollocks! i dont think its much good in compost though. im considering coco myself. its a simple mans hydroponics system. easier to monitor the nutes and things. i always get salt buildup in soil and im still using the damn stuff. At least im using perlite this time. my new sprouts survived this time round, it seems root maggots can't penintrate root riot cubes and the flys that lay em love sticky strips.:fire: good looking plant btw:-o

Oh man, I have been having terrible salt build up in soil. It may be that my jack frost's roots grow very rapidly, and get rootbound early on. I'm always very light with my fertilizer, I hope that this grow goes very well, I had little to no problems with NL last time.

I had the NL in a smaller pot, with soil, but as I had extra coco from setting up my hydro system, I figured filling a 10q up with coco and perlite might be good.

Tonight will be its first night in the flowering box, tomorrow being day one, which means roughly 60 days til harvest!

I threw my jack frost into darkness today, I'm pulling its plug early, all triches are just about cloudy.

Twilight is looking nice! I'll have some premature-budporn up in the morning for the few of you checking up on it!

Flowers are engorging, and the leaves off the kolas are turning purple!

there is also some purple spotting on the leaves, marginal and toward the edges =]

will post pictures again soon, currently about 2 weeks from harvest!

Northern lights at some Bio-Bloom and Fish-Mix, no noticeable difference in size just yet, but the Trichome heads on this particular plant are verry low lying and "large" considering how early into flowering I am. I dont remember seeing this trait last time with my northern, but I was baked 24/7 then. =/

My jack frost has dried, and has been curing for about a week. The high is extremely clear and functional, The effects are uplifting-euphoria, and it makes my body feel like I am wrapped up in a nice comfy blanket! =]

I smoked a spliff yesterday, and about lost my mind!

I love subarus! my dream is to rip a bong, then take an '02 impreza wrx sti wagon up a snowy mountain, on a dirt road of course!

I've got another northern lights in my flower box! shes blooming verry densly, with smaller, frostier flowers than I've ever noticed before. NL must really like the whole coco-Organic set up =]

im glad to here it about the coco, im gonna try it next time round. compost is just a lot of work, i dought coco has ph imbalances and salt buildup as bad. As for subarus im a volvo man, i like chairs a lot. its like driving round with my sofa.

oh man, I've yet to step into the luxury class of vehicles, but I do love looking at volvos, Always been a favorite manufacturer of mine.

I've heard many great things about coco, in both hydro and organic. What I like about it, is that when you buy the compressed brick form, you can expand it in an actual nutrient solution, leaving the whole nutrient/ph issue is solved!

for organic grows, I've seen people on here have great sucess cutting coco with a little perlite-Egg shells and worm castings. I've also seen some people have great sucess running bottled nutrients through it, So I belive now that basically, coco the most ultimate medium.
