First Guerilla Grow (good old oregon)

Well its getting that time of year and im committed to an outdoor grow this year. I have done 2 previous indoor grows (2 plants each time). This will be my first outdoor grow in the woods, I would have done this previous years but i work as a wildland firefighter during the summer months and am taking a break this year. Ive scouted my 3 different plots and have decided to do 6 plants each plot. (All clones/maybe a couple autos if i can get my hands on some). My water source is a pretty big stream that connects to a major river here in oregon. Its about 5-6 miles away from any houses or buildings and its off a logging rd pretty high up into the mountain. Ill be planting them in early may and only visitings the plots maybe 6-7 times from planting to harvest.

Im pretty confident ill be able to get to harvest without any problems (knock on wood) but if you see anything wrong or can give me any advice or tips id appreciate it.

Bury a half a fifty-five gallon drum close to your plots. If you bury two halves you can use one for water for fewer trips to your water source(less trails from your water source means less chance someone will follow. You can use the other to store supplies(might need good drain holes if your lid leaks).This keeps stuff out of sight and safe.You can also go to walmart and buy predator urine to spread around patches to help keep deer and rabbits away( use bobcat only, coyote attracted dogs and their people are to follow,bears will tear stuff up). Spread DE around your patches now to help rid the bugs. Dig some real holes 2'x2'x3' at least.Just so your sure your dirt is top notch this also allows you to add some sort of moisture holder and adjust the ph. There are tons of things you can do to make your life easier and your patch better for it. Just love your plants and they will love you back.

my tip to you is read and read and then read some more . trust me you will find way better tips reading threw the fourms than asking it on here .. and then if u do run into a problem or need to know something come ask somebody on here and try to be specific about what your asking youll will get help easyer that way.. good luck .

Dig ur holes and fill with soil as soon as possible two reasons one less ppl will be outside which means less chance being seen, #2 in and right b4 spring its harder to dig holes cause of vines and your soil will have time to set in and nuts can spread threw the soil...

Ive been thinking about digging the holes here within the next 2-3 weeks.

My only problem so far that im having is figuring out what soil i want to use. Im leaning towards fox farms. Any thoughts or suggestions?

HALF a fifty five gallon drum will be less than the holes you should be digging for your plants. If you put a tube in and someone finds it they will follow. Wouldnt you ???People are about eighty percent more likely to follow a river or stream (probably how you found your spot huh). And the guy thats startin his patch a little late finds yours , he will probably just wait till yours is done. Foxfarms soil is probably the best premade soil but you can save yourself ALOT of money if you do your own mix.

i agree with u about the 55 gallon drum . i would suggest dis connecting the hose from the creek and stashing it close by . a fisherman cold be walking and see your hose and follow it to your grow..as for soil if u can afford fox farm go for it..

Good old Oregon. I wish you the best of luck, nfknukka. I saw some workers doing a controlled burn somewhere in Oregon back in 2008, it was such a cool thing to see. I will either be doing a guerilla grow, a sneaky grow on my balcony, or both this summer. All this warmer than normal winter weather has me itching in my pants to get started!

i dig 6 holes at 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 deep. great plants. check out growingmeds on youtube you will see what to expect.
