Yield to wattage question

hey guys so ive heard alot about how you should expect between a half to a gram per watt for yeild.

what i was wondering, is this rele a good way to guess a yield? if i had two plants under a 400 watt would i get the same as four plants under a 400 watt according to the watt to yield ratio?
i have 5 plants that im close to flowering and its a tight squeeze for the fifth but if it will add more yeild id rather try.

if there wont be a difference then i wont bother tho.

It really just depends on how long you veg them. Your two plants could be topped/LST'ed/Supercropped and then vegged for months to make 100 colas under your 400W. That would yield quite a bit.

Way to many variables to answer this question. If you have never grown before. Do not expect to come even close to 1 gram per watt for your first few grows.

ive had 1 harvest before but it was a single plant.
i was simply asking if that is a set guidline or if you can grow much more than 400 grams with the right setup and plants.

and has anyone had decent results with the gram per square meter?
example/ 400-500 Gpsm?

just looking for good ways to get close to accurate measurments.

Counting chickens before they hatched. A gram per watt is very optimal as are the gram per sq meter estimates you see. Planning on half that would make more sense for the vast majority of growers.
