Unsulphured blackstrap molasses is what you want to use. available at most grocery stores.
I use it...not sure if it really does anything...but I use organics so the added carbohydrates help feed the microorganisms...
My buds always come out tasty too. So its your call really. Maybe try it on one plant and see what you think?
I use the same stuff and draw the same conclusion. You can use molasses water even through the flush without leaving any negative taste behind.I even added about a half of a cup of 100% pineapple juice to the last gallon of water flush for my Express and it had a nice pineapple flavor.I'm going to add it in a lesser quantity the last week of flush with the next ones in flower and see how they taste.I'm hoping it will give them a fuller, stronger citrus flavor. The buds are definately stickier and fatter, but I'm also using berry flavored Sweet, but I'm sure the molasses is helping.
When I mix my water I add about 2 -3 cups of warm water in the jug and then add 2-3 tablespoons of molasses and stir it up and the molasses will starting blending in nicely and then starting adding cool water to fill the jug and shake it when your done.If the water looks like coca cola that's what its supposed to look like.
