Yes, it clearly says "Suitable for sodium and metal halide lamps."

I advise you to get a 400 or 600 watter. I currently have a 250w, it isn't that good man... Tomorrow morning I'm off to fetch a 600w.

I thought id better check with people who know more than me, i can read, but i dont know everything. and i dont want something too large im using a clf setup too so the hps is mostly supplimental.

i would say if your going to buy an HID system might as well go for a 400w or more... i have a 400w and im very happy with it. but it depends on how many plants and how big you plan on growing... my 400w fits 5 plants i vegged to 12-15'' perfectly. i dont believe a 250w has much penetration

I'll tell you the same thing I tell myself any time I have to choose between a slightly cheaper option and a more expensive but much more effective one.

You may save a little cash now, but if it turns out you need the upgrade, it's going to cost you a LOT more. Get the better system, you'll be glad you did.

Look at CMH lamps. From what I hear, they're great for flowering and only work in magnetic HPS ballasts. You can do 2 400W CMH lamps with less heat than a single 400W HPS. Do the research on them.. people are using them on here and have some grows to back it up.

Ceramic Metal Hallide. Also.. T5HO is great. If you're curious as to whether I just repeat info. or actually KNOW, I use a 600W HPS, supplemental T5HO and a shit-ton of CFL.. both 'warm' and 'cool.' I do my homework.

Im only ever gonna be flowering 1-2 plants, and im trying to keep stealthy, im worried about infrared heat signatures and such. Also money isnt a problem between 250w and 400w because the price between them is about 4 pounds :\
