First off, I'm a n00b and this is one hell of a learning experience. Any and all constructive criticism is more than welcome. With that being said here is what we're working with. I saw a small piece of furniture in my house and thought to myself, "you know what, i bet i could grow weed in that." Now here i am growing some sweet sweet cheeba (or so i hope).

The dimensions are 22"Width x 12"Depth x 22 1/4"Height.
I lined it with an emergency blanket from walmart in the camping section ($2.88 great deal).
Planning on going with a scrog setup.

Using 2x42W cfl's for the time being
Just got done germinating 3 white widow seeds purchased from Nirvana.
Planted the 3 seedlings in 5 inch pots
Using Miracle Grow Organic with some perlite mixed in.
Not very sure on nutes yet...suggestions?

2/16
Day 1:
Got them on a 24 hr light cycle for the next few days then im switching to 18/6. My fans that i ordered have not yet arrived so i am using a small window fan for the time being. It's a bit much even on low...The temp is staying at 75 F and the Humidity is rocking a steady 33/34%.

yeah i saw that miracle grow was not a wise choice everywhere i looked on these forums but i did not have much of a choice with my cost constraint and my availability of good soil constraint. the organic miracle grow looked to be my best choice since the closest places for me to go was home depot or menards. the scotts looked far worse. i looked for a brand called shultz but alas, it was a no go. first time around, trial and error, we'll see how it goes. thanks for your input!

Day 2: So i have fungus gnats...hell yeah just what i wanted. I went out and bought some fly strips and i sprayed vinegar throughout the box (not sure if i should do that but i read that it might help). Im going to drive to the hydroponics store tomorrow and get some diatomaceous earth. besides that everything is looking pretty alright. green leaves are sprouting on two of them and the other is either slow or just an underachiever. either way im pissed.

silentstoner - i didnt end up going, i just put sand over the top of the pots. those strains sound just divine dude i cant wait.

Growzaa - i would strongly suggest not getting miracle grow, mine came complete with fungus gnats...no charge.

Day 3: The fungus gnats are under control, the little bastards are a pain. I just put a liberal layer of sand across the top of the soil so prevent larvae from becoming adults. Pretty sure one of the seedlings died because its not flourishing like the other two. My temp is hanging around 78-80 F and my humidity is 30% and dropping. kinda concerned about that.

Day 4: I switched from 24/0 to 18/6 today. The sand is still covering the pots because i want to be sure the gnats have totally perished. My underachiever appears to be thinking of achieving growth; which makes me a very happy person. I have some dyna grow 7-9-5 but im not sure when to use it. I know its too early right now but i was thinking about doing it when alternating nodes appear?

temp w/ lights on - 78-80F
lights off 72-74F

humidity 33-35% the sand its not helping..

day 24:
i started the 12/12 cycle three days ago (3 weeks in). i hope they don't get too massive in there..the only nutes i have is this dyna-grow that i got hooked up with. ill have to get some tiger bloom or some jazz. Im also about to get a 150w hps. the weather is really helping me here, the temp is in between 70-80 and my humidity is rockin 50%.

Nice little setup. I had the same one when i was 14 no joke. Mine just wasnt as developed as yours. My step dad found it when he seen light shining threw a crack haha.
What kind of fixture are you using for the cfls? How to you mount them up there?
