Will LED lights like these work for growing?

Would that kind of LED light work for growing?

The benefit would be the fact that you could have lots of them in your closet, they generate little heat and lots of light. no cables since they run on batteries and last for ever. (well like a week at a time - even then you could just hotwire a couple battery packs onto it and run it forever)

I think those lights are 1W

You have no know exactly how much lumens the bulbs produce and at what spectrum, as well as the power consumption. Not "about a watt" if its 1.4 since were adding them all up.

i'm assuming you mean a 150W equivalent? Usually these bulbs are horribly efficient and i don't recommend it.

They run cold seem brighter then normal lights. i figured they would have an advantage over using CFL lights.

I heard the LED lights are BS. but just clarifying

To be fair, its probably cheaper to buy a 20 $2 torches then it is to buy a LED grow light

converting this to lumens from millicandels
beep boop boop booop beep

so its a 73.586 lumen bulb. Right on par with a good CFL. I'd work on getting a more efficient system, also, thats a horrible kelvin for vegging.
