My Second 400w closet grow!

Pardon my ignorance but what are squirrel cage fans? And where would I mount these things? Do you have to do construction to your grow room or do they clip onto your hoods and get air away from your light? I'm losing the ventilation battle right now, well actually I'm winning but I have to keep a watchful eye and I know there is more efficient ways to do this besides a lazy box fan in the door.

4 strains? i have 6 now. i was thinking bout running 1 or 2 but decided fuck it. i like a variety. and its not a big deal. tall plants on the border and short in the middle. when i shop around for clones i take there size into consideration more than anything. which really helps. im not gonna run urkel with og. as long as there somewhat close it will work out. my room is 2x4x8. hella small. after this im gonna create a flowering room and keep this room as veg room.. prob jus buy a 4x4 tray maybe bigger then build walls. might have to make the jump to a 600! woot. but im kinda in the middle of a transition since i got this tray going today so i have a 16'' oscilating fan blowing in the room. i want to be able to shut my door so im definently going to either buy a squirrel cage, in line, or centrifugal fan. i got a few extra bucks to put down on it right now so i might as well get something that will help me out this grow. and grows to come.

hey numples if u read all the way through a few weeks back i bought a water pump, gardeing hose, a wand, some fittings and a 5 gal bucket. its 1 of my coolest investments since i started growing. i get to mix 5 gallons of nutrients at once. so no measuring 1.5ml at a time. and no pouring out of a 1 gal jug lol. if u want ill explain further and u can go invest 50 dollars and get it going yourself. its easy and will save you so much time.

Uhhh... That's super nasty, $50 you say? Purchase everything at Home Depot? It doesn't effect the water and nutes when it sits in that bucket for length does it? Silly question but I haven't used nutes yet..

it usually doesnt sit long. i have a water bucket and a nute bucket. but if u water every few days itll never sit long enough to effect the nutes. i wouldnt leave more than a week or so. recircullating hydro systems always have nutes sitting around in the resevoir

Here's a more valid question, how much room do you have from the top of your pots to the bottom of the light?

You've also got 4 different strains which wil all grow different so you'll more than likely need to practice laying down the law and tying down some branches once flowering is in full swing.


All in all I like what your doing.

I wouldn't have grown different strains unless they had similar characteristics, but that's me.

I also feel your pain on not getting any comments.

uh i have to disagree i know some people like all one strain but i think that cause of intimidation and being lazy e.g not wanting to deal with different growing wants nutes light amounts watering etc but thats just me

bro thats the exact same size of my veg room squirell and 16" wall mounted to max space is cheap and all i needed was and exhaust and my temps are 72 constant during day

damn ya i was gonna go to the hydro store. sunday but there closed i jus realized. so thats gay. im gonna go check out home depot. see if i can get something going. u think squirrel cage over centrifugal? im also gonna invest into some sort of oscilating fan for the room. its funny how u just get into upgrading your room. i dont want to stop. after that stuff i wont have much left. so ill just have to start a new room. 1 other thing would be relining my room. im not to big on mylar. its jus dirty and kinda in shreds. wrinkled. i could easily say i wouldnt recommend it

flat white plastic is how i roll or flat white paint ya squrells are cheap move hella air quiet i love em and easy as hell to mount

alright im convinced. its a hella small room. so i dont need much at all. jus want to push some air through my light. get that many more lumens. and that 3-4 degrees will be nice. worth more to me than its gonna cost! so fuck ya

i think when you plug that fan in your gonna be shocked at how much air it moves

im in the middle of making an inline fan. i had a little fan. i bought a clamp for it. and im gonna go get some ducting and throw it in there. see how that works. see if i can do this for 20 bucks. i honestly have no clue what im doing lol. hope it works

good shit my suggestion is that you go get a motor and attach a fan blade to it stabalize your gonna need a big motor to make that small a blade run effecent

alright i finished it. cost me a little less than 40 bucks and now my temp is 70 degrees under the light. so the temp dropped hella. at 1 point it was above 80 yesterday. ill get some pics up in awhile hella peps over right now. i spent at least 4 hours on this today. my room transformed in the last 2 days its crazy.
