Shnkrmn gets wet: 2010 Ebb and Grow multiple Strains

I changed the res on the turbogarden today. I have one pump just circulating water in the res and the filter on that was pretty gunked up. But I have a garden hose and a floor drain which made short work of cleaning the tray and res.:hump:. I really like the turbo garden; it's convenient.

I've refilled with RO and added foliage pro to 120 ppm, pH 5.6.

My clones are showing roots finally after like twelve days. I think they would have been quicker in a warmer place than my dungeon. So in a few days I'll add some of them into the turbogarden as well.

One of my hempies was showing some spots on fan leaves yesterday, and it was worse this morning. I flushed with 5 gallons of RO water. the ph was near 7 going in and under 4 coming out!!!! My last watering 2 days ago was over 900 ppm. I'll mix up something around 650 ppm and water with that this afternoon. Just another reason hempy must go away.:wall:

sorry to hear about the hempy issues and i am just getting ready to start using them for my perpetual part of my garden. i'm a ebb and grow user also and i have been trying to figure out the best veg system to get that will easily transplant to my ebb and grow. i was thinking about just getting a second ebb and grow and if i have to buy something that is over $200 it just makes sense to order another $450 ebb and grow to me. the only drawback is the ebb and grow is big and takes up lots of space in veg.

well i got my chair pulled up and i'll be lurking around here for a while, good luck!

Yup, I'm not too concerned about a few spots. I think 5 gallons is just too big a pot for hempy, I've frequently gotten issues like this in flower. Unless you really waste nutes by semi-flushing all the time you run risk of bad ph issues in the bottom of the bucket. I'm not seeing any issues in the ebb and grow and I'm running virtually the same strength nutes.

I have high hopes for the turbogarden for vegging. It's small and compact, it has no tubing to kink, replace, etc, and it's easy to change out. AND it cost me 220. And since I use an aerocloner, I won't have any rockwool or other media besides hydroton in there either. Just bare roots all the way. I'm now keeping moms in soil, which I never did well with in the past, but I seem to be over that now.

Glad to have you lurking. Feel free to weigh in.

I flushed another one of the hempies with a few spotted leaves. This time the runoff was 6.0. WTF. Other than the giant fan leaves spotting up, there are no signs these plants are in distress in anyway. The third hempy is not showing any spots; it's purpling a little but that's just the strain. In any case, it's not a major issue.

I've moved my backup mothers into the flowering room now. They were becoming a pain to water and since the kush plant showed female I really don't need them anymore. They are in one gallon pots and I don't care to transplant, just getting em out of the way.

The seedlings are all working on their third set of leaves. I added 150ml SugarDaddy to the res yesterday. They seemed to like it.

I don't think you've mentioned yet ...

what have you got burning right now ? as far as the veg. room (1000 MH?)
and the flower room (3 lamps ?)

the veg area looks tight enough - though you could still increase reflectivity
as you have in the flower area. the flower area looks very easy to access, but
i'd be tempted to bump both areas up against a wall. But, then, i'm a bit
obsessive / compulsive (and have issues) so it could just be that. You really do
have a dungeon there :-P i bet things stay pretty cool for you with all that stone &
cement.

I've got 3 600s in flower. one for the 4 ebb and grow plants (just right). one over the three hempys (not nearly enough, they are too big) and one over the oddball soilers.

You are right about bumping up my reflectivity in veg. I gotta buy another roll of that stuff. I recently got some free pallet racking that was being discarded at work. I'm going to use that for a tent frame. Talk about solid. Add a plywood roof and line the whole thing with reflective insulation.

My temps are a little tough right now. I've been running my cloner in a 58 degree room for two and a half weeks and only now am I getting rooting. I'm probably pitching these clones though since I have an Afghan Kush plant I can take cuttings from in another week. I'll for sure run the cloner in some heated space in the house so I don't have to wait so long.

I have a space heater running in the flower room which even with the three lights burning leaves it pretty cool down there. I need to create more controlled spaces but I'm waiting for the city water project that's coming through my neighborhood this summer. They will be visiting my dungeon to give me new water and sewer hookups and I need to stay mobile til then. Then it's time for major infrastructure.

Here's a little production to show the lay of the land, as it were. First a walk around the bloom room and then I take you into the space where I'm working on the new stuff.

I swear ever since I started doing this, I have had more domestic emergencies necessitating basement access to various entities. This shouldn't be one of them but . . . .:

Yesterday we were just hanging, playing chess when there's this big crash outside. No big deal, icicles have been forming and dropping for months. But this morning I looked outside and the weatherhead where my electrical service is attached to the house is lying in the snow busted. And my power line has come loose from the tether and is hanging about ten feet off the ground. So I'm waiting for the power company. They said they don't need to get inside but I turned everything off in the op and I plan to 'not be at home' when they show up.

I have 3 600watters in the flower room and 1 600 in the veg.

Dynagro is the shit. You look at my early growing in my album and all my plants are burnt and crappy looking all the time. Dynagro grows green plants and big. It's also very mild. I haven't burnt anything with it yet.

I haven't tried the bloom yet. I'm planning on continuing a reduced feed of dyna-gro supplemented by Fox Farm additives (I have all three, and would like to use them up).

Used about 100 grams of high quality trim, popcorn buds from my last grow. Got about 10 grams of very adequate hash. I bought a 4 bag kit on ebay for 60 bux and a 20 dollar power drill and a paint stirrer. I'm sure I can improve with practice but I'm happy:
