CNN Poll - 25% support obamacare

This is what I've been saying. Polls that show people saying, sure we'd "like" free this or that are misleading. They don't ask the follow-up question, "Do you really wantto cripple the economy by sucking it dry to pay for it?"

The dems think we are too dumb to get that but we're not. This poll by CNN is probably skewed toward Obamacare so it's probably lower than 25%

Shame on the democrats for trying to govern against the will of the people!

Report just came out that Obama has an alternative ready, he is resigned to failure. The alternative as a price tag supposedly 1/4 as high. The hard left will hate it.

I love Obama's priorities....

Jobs? Nope.

Security? Nope.

Defense? Nope.

Economic recovery? Nope.

Health care? Yes, that's a crisis.

C'mon November....

It shouldn't matter if 95% want "free healthcare". Oppression of the minority by the majority is still oppression.

In a free country, people make up there own minds how and on what they will spend their money. Anything less, regardless of the "but it's for your own good" sentiment is wrong. To remind many of you, this is a POT website. At one time a majority of people were lead to believe that prosecuting people for marijuana use was acceptable, that didn't make it right though did it? So if a majority of people think slavery is acceptable we should reinstitute that too?

Freedom over your body is no different than freedom over your labor or your property. If you advocate pot being legal, but at the same time think a person can or should be forced to fund or purchase something they don't want, like health insurance, you are being contradictory and hypocritical.

Freedom is not flexible to "issues". It is consistent or it doesn't exist. To selectively advocate only for "some freedom" on certain issues is also to choose the opposite of freedom for others. The opposite of freedom? Slavery.

It's great when you can just make up numbers isn't it?

Go call up CNN and tell them they are BS.

25% ... not 95%.

So few citizens support his bill because it is NOT what we asked for or need, and NOT what he said he would provide upon getting elected. If he spoke for us and kept his word, we would support him.

I think Bush's final approval numbers were just as low: if he spoke for the American people, we would have supported him, too.

This is another example of grandstanding, showcasing politicians who love to stir controversy at home so everyone forgets about the fact that they are spending trillions and killing brown people in a foreign land using the threat of terrorism to justify a for profit venture called 'preventative war'.

Nothing will get passed, or maybe something will. It doesn't matter: as long as the military industrial complex keeps pumping untold wealth into the hands of the makers of war machines.

I keep hearing discussion of the polls on individual components saying people favored them.I don't know why this is so hard to understand. Heard of cost - benefit? When you ask people if they like the benefits (components) they say yes. When you ask them if they like the cost (the bill) they say no.

yeah, but when people answer that question, most don't know that what we have now will cost more, cover less people, and provide less care for the people who are covered....... :-|:-|:-|

Im glad the OP seems to give a damn about politicians doing what the people want. Even though the public option was AND STILL IS very popular, yet ALL Republicans refused to even consider it.

I'm referring to the thread....what are you referring to?

To get on a thread which is about a poll showing 25% approval, and then say that 95% approve makes the poster look fairly stupid.
Epic fail CrackerJax, epic fail...
