Hello to those looking in,

I grow in a square meter tent and last night my humidity went to up to 78% inside this happens at night time when lights go off.

Now i'm buying a De-humidifier which i will now put inside the tent to operate at night time,

This is the spec of the one i'm getting and my question within the square meter tent would the extraction of 330ml per hour be enough to get a humidty of 78% down enough???

Don't want to buy it if it can't do the job any advice appreciated..'' Spec listed below of De-humidifier.

Prem-I-Air Compact Dehumidifier
Thermo-electric Peltier module (no compressor)
High Efficiency Portable Dehumidifier, Low power consumption
2 Litre Tank Automatically switches off when tank is full
Compact size, light and portable Removable water tank for easy empty
Extraction rate: 350ml at 30ºC and 80%RH
Dimensions : (HxWxD cm) 33x20x12

I'd at least try putting the dehumidifier in the room outside the tent and then leaving the tent open during the night. It's hard to get a small grow room dry without first drying the air that passes into it.

Outside the tent with the use of my hygrometer the humidity nevr goes above 50%

I have my temps controlled at night time via a heater to come on keeping temps at 19-20c on lights off.

So i thought all was good, but then my buds have got bud rot so i knew i had a problem,

I then placed my hygrometer within the tent and in the morning checked it and see that altough outside the tent humidity is fine within thr room inside the problem is inside the tent at night time on lights off.

So i would prefer to put a De-humidifier within the tent at night night to help and bring down to at least 50%

So back to my origianl question will this de-humidifier i'm thinking of buying and placing within the tent get it down enough?

No-one can tell you what it will do, you have to try it. I still don't understand though, if the room outside is below 50, why not expose the plants to that during lights out. Also, I've seen many growers struggling with heat and humidity in a grow tent come to the realization that they don't really need the tent at all. You might, butit seems that many who start using them realize they don't, and taking them down makes life much easier.

If your humidity is getting that high inside your tent, it's all but killing your carbon filter. The carbon gets to wet to absorb odors. I would try as someone else suggested to get more of that drier air flowing through your tent before buying a dehumidifier.

I have the same problem as you, but I don't think that dehumidifier will work (it might).
on doing research the peltier type does not work as will as the freon type. some don't work past 65% relative humidity. it might help, but not get down as low as you want. let me know if you try it out and if it helps or not. good luck.

a dehumidifier puts out alot of heat , i think you need a larger exhaust fan, and run a larger dehumidifier in the room not the tent
