Been researching long time, 1000$ to spend, what to do

Hello all

I am currently growing in soil, looking to switch over to hydro or aero and need help with a setup choice

i will have 4 600w with hortilux enhanced spectrum bulb and the magnum xxxl reflectors- Looking for a setup that will support 48 plans soon, or at least 24 and i will just have 2 seperate set ups

anyways, looking for a solid setup and there are so many options...

i was thinking the ebb and flow 12 or 24 pot setup to start, and maybe expand from there

but those kits come with 2.2 gallon pots? can that support a full 4-5 foot tall plant?

what about the waterfarm drip system? those seem to have a smaller res and require even more attention and can sometimes clog?

aeroponics seems to do great but there dont seem to be any complete sets that are plug and play as i dont really want to have to purchase and assemble an entire setup

so i am looking for a 24 site system that can sustain 4-5 foot plants, im just not sure if the 2.2 gallons are enough for hydro? sorry im new and needing assistance

A 2 1/2 gal. pot is plenty to support 4 to 5 ft. tall plants. I use to run that setup and had 5 ft. bushes in them and they did great. Ponics is not like dirt, you don't need all that room for the roots. I have table setups now with 6 in. pots with 3 to 4ft. plants in them just fine.

may i ask why you are in tables now if running an ebb/flow system before?

really looking for something that i will have for a while.... so dont want a midgrade system when i couldve bought something a little better to begin with

thank you, i will give that a bit of research, compiling a list now of what to buy and have 25 days before i have to purchase nutes and a hydro setup

thanks for link, i had heard of them before but never really knew how they worked

i feel that is a little too much to have to worry about filling them up every day or 2, im sure people get great results but i am just looking for a complete system that will have 1 big res to worry about instead of 24 or 48 small individual units

They only reason I switched was to do a sog setup. The system your talking about is more for larger plants. That system works great, it just depends on if your wanting to do big plants or a shit load of small plants lol.

yeah i am doing a 100% legal grow and limited on numbers of plants, currently 36 right now so figured 24 in flower and 12 to clone and veg for transplant with staggered harvests

a nice clone SOG would be nice, but would be more plants than i am allowed

and yes a handheld microscope was a key item i bought a while ago
one of the best investments i have made

i am leaning towards an ebb 24 site unit

not sure on the cloner now... idk if aeroponics is worth dropping 300$ on an aerocloner or if a DWC style will be sufficient... seems many people do well with the DWC homemade tubs to use

you could always make your own aerocloner, it's not hard and it's pretty cheap to make one yourself.
