god dam, would be nice if one bulb would do all the work hey :p so im going to have to go to a hydroponic store for a proper flowering light then im assuming? fuck now i jus wanna get more cfl's in there for my baby!
here's how she looks today

i cant help but feel like its way to dry in there, i can jus tell the leafs would love it in there if it was a little more moist in the air. any ideas for a good way to maintain some sort of humidity?
If you go to Wal-Mart and pick up 1 of those 8 packs for $13 (where I live) of the 26 watt cfls 5000k I believe they are. I will go check right now if I still have the box. I don't have the box anymore but I am pretty sure they're 5000k and those will work great for veg. Also if you have a Cost Co's card you can get good bulbs there for very cheap and they will work great for what you are wanting. My uncle gets his bulbs there and only pays $10 for a 100 watt 5000k and $12 for a 100 watt 2300k cfl with 1000 watt light output. He grows 5-10 plants under 2 of each bulb and his nugs are fat as hell. Most hydro stores will overprice their products especially their lights so I would suggest online.

Both of those sites have very good prices on their systems if that is the route you choose.

awesome thx for the tips and links bro.
Only questions i can think of asking now are do's and dont's with having a fan on in there and do's and dont's with transplanting, like the most effective way of getting it out from the medium its in now with the least amount of stress to the root system and i need to add rocks to the bottoms somthing i didnt do with the medium its in now.

First to address the other questions. Not sure if I posted this here already so please bare with me if I did.

As far as the do's and don'ts you may want to check out the books I set you up with. I have a movie here I found a while back as well that might help understand a few of your questions. Let me find the link.

Now this link takes you straight to the download but please trust me it is safe. I used the same exact download for mine. I just dug this up from my download tool.

Mr Green's I Grow Chronic.

And another thing I downloaded very recently due to looking for higher yields :D (who isn't right?)

See More Buds.

Now to download these files you will need any of these.

UTorrent (personal favorite)
BitTorrent (never used but have heard good things)
Vuze (never used and heard it takes a lot of memory)

Also you should download that link I posted earlier on for the Cannabis Grow Bible. This thing is fucking awesome. I still refer back to it from time to time haha. This book will answer EVERY question you have without having to go looking any further. Here's the link again.

Marijuana Growing E-books Collection.

NOW to answer your question that I have quoted... Fans are a HUGE part of your plants life. It helps bring in fresh air that the plant will enjoy at every stage. I helps keep some bugs away and will keep mold away if the RH isn't too high. RH = Room Humidity. MOST IMPORTANTLY IT BUILD STRONG STEMS TO HOLD BIG BUDS ON. Without strong stems your plant will probably not be to successful during flower.

Hope this helps :D

Transplanting: When transplanting, be sure that you don't drop it! Once your transplant is complete be sure to water it! It helps release the nutrients in the soil and helps the roots make strong connections to the new soil. If its a tight root ball, rough up the edges with your fingers (I don't think you'll have this problem)

Light Spectrums:
5500-6500k is for vegetative
2700k is for flowering
or you can do a mix for both.

Flowering: Set lights to 12/12 and switch to light spectrum 2700k.

Schultz: I have/use that liquid schultz fertilizer. 10/15/10. I haven't had any problems with it at all, sometimes I've even used it over strength, but I did not start feeding my plants until after they showed signs of yellowing leaves. So I knew they needed nutes, I wasn't feeding them when they weren't showing me they needed it.

Humidity: Since you only have the one plant, you can add humidity by spritzing the leaves with water, fine mist, large droplets could create prizms and burn spots onto your leaves. Or, you can put an open bottle/cup/bowl of water, or hang a wet towel. All depending on how you want to alter your humidity.

Pictures attached of CFL lights and the potting soil I used.

Those lighter leaves I would take as meaning you need to start fertilizing it if you havent already, or possibly up the dose.:weed:

Ive read that yellowing of leafs after you've started to feed nutes to it can just mean it needs more space for the roots bro, and jus by looking at that pic i want to transplant for u threw my screen hahaha mine is smaller then that and i can tell it needs to be done! do what im doing today bud and get a bigger pot for that plant :D

Gidgetgrows your the best man thx for the detail on the transplanting tips and the flowing lights i didnt know i can have a mix of the lights is it more effective that way or jus more full proof cuz its covering more of the light spectrum all at once? hanging a wet paper towel or a linen towel?
fuck growing pot is fun!

As long as that pot has drainage holes, I would water until I see some come out the bottom, but that can also mean you only have to water like once a week, depending on how much that plant really wants.

You want to be sure all the soil gets moist/wet, the roots will only want to expand to where there is nutrients, and thats only where it is moist so they can be released. Just be sure to provide ample dry time as well so they can prepare for the next watering.

hey noob here too, but already about to harvest my first grow. i started with fl tubes and quickly noticed that first rules, dont overwater, fl tubes suck, good for starters or clones tho, easy to overfeed, and fix ur ph before u plant. those were my problems. fixes: changed my light setup to 4 26w 2700k cfl's and a monster 68w cfl thats the size of my head lol (Home Depot $17) I also have 4 26w 6500k bulbs for veg. i got a ph/moist/and light meter. i water when the moisture gets right above red and it stays moist 4 a few days. i have to add ph down when i water and half feed nutes (1 full feed a week). when i had all those problems my plants were small, purple, yellowing leaves, and had no relief for excess water. in a month they tripled in size. when i first started flowering due to the poor upbringing i expected maybe an ounce from 4 plants(yea), now im expecting at least an ounce from each. but it is bagseed. it is all females and covered in trichromes all the way to the tip of the leaves at the top but now my main problem is overheating. but yeah man check out home depot. there not with the reg bulbs, there at the end of the row by the mv and hps bulbs. dont put this too close! i burnt the tips with it 3 inches away. the bulb itself gets to 103f. 6 inches seems ok.

well since ive set up the cfl's in there at 2 inches away all sings of large pointed leafs with no points along them stopped sprouting and now there are new leaf sets coming out everywhere it has space to grow right now, and the leafs are no longer dry to the touch but more lush and flexable. Thx for the info on the cfl lights but im only growing one plant and i dont think a need 4 lights in there pluss one the size of my head XD seems to be thriving and wanting some nutes finnaly!

the roots may need more space but ive seen a ton of plant in pots the size of yours that are 4+ feet tall and bushy as hell. ive had yellowing due to watering and/or nutes, my plants are bigger and in a 3x1x1 container together. i set it up by putting a plastic grid i cut out on the bottom and setting it in a shallow slightly bigger pan. adding water that way also allows you to see when the roots reach the bottom. a friend of mine did this with 1 gal pots and harvested at 3ft tall (sea of green) and didnt see roots until he was 2 weeks from harvest. he then simply put blocks in between the pan and the pot to raise it, he also taped off any light and made a coverable hole to add water

I'm trying so hard to picture that in my head. " i set it up by putting a plastic grid i cut out on the bottom and setting it in a shallow slightly bigger pan".
do you have a pic you can post?

sorry my internet went funny and trying to refresh app posted more. i dont have any pics right now but i can take some tomorrow. the grid is only so that the soil isnt sitting in water(root rot). but if ur replacing the pot, you can be much neater and just buy one with a detatchable base that does the same thing, there 10-20 at wal-mart

im not a big fan of soil, but i dont have a ton of experience. i like alot of control and have built a dwc hydro setup, im eager to start as i have susposed g-13 seeds. doubt it but thats what i ordered. i cant start yet for a few weeks until i finish flowering these. this will be my step up to learning just what these plants like. one thing is for sure, no matter what u read, it only works if it is designed for you. this said, take advise, but change it to your needs. i growing in a tiny ass closet in the attic. real small space.

ok, now i understand the confusion. i took the plastic bin, cut out the entire base, then cut a flat sheet of plastic 1 inch oversized the base, then cut a slit in the corners, heated up the edges with a mini propane torch and bent them down (to make a raised platform) then cut 1/4" wide slits all down the length, placed it in the base of the container, and set it in the pan. the soil was added afterward. your better off to just buy the new pot. i only did this cause everything i got except lighting was free.
