I was wondering this same thing and i was thinking hang the entire plant upside down from a rope and wrap it with a tarp to help keep light out but im in Georgia and with the humidity im thinking mold might cause some issues

it needs to be competely dark so i dont know if that would work
Ya. Cause where I'm growing outdoors there's a small open compartment among ten foot brush almost like a plant cave. I was thinking I could hang them low enough that they'll be able to go almost into a trashcan to the bottom of the stem then cover the lid of the trash can with like a trash bag or something. But there's always the mold problem. So idk anyone have any ideas or anyways that they've done it? Could I pitch a small hidden tent and hang them in there? Because there is absolutely no way I can dry indoors..

if it rains your going to have lots of problems with mold.. i wouldent recomend wrapping them in a tarp or putting them in a trash can they need ventalation and air movment around them to dry even ..i seen a couple threads last year about drying outdoors but never looked into them .. google it im sure you will find something . i would try to find some where indoor in your attic or somewhere i would hate to see all that hard work be ruined in the last step.

Look at how I dried them outdoors, keep in mind this is in humid hawaii. It actually took about 2 weeks for it to dry.

I basically got 2 black trash bags, cut them into 2 rectangular pieces, then taped them together with waterproof tape, made a tarp and just put it under a tree. Then I hung the buds under the tarp. This way they got adequate airflow but didn't get affected by the rains. It rained a lot unfortunately during the drying period from what I can remember. But they still dried fine and no bud rot at all. of course this depends on the strain/envriomental conditions. But I will say it was rainy and humid, and it took 2 weeks for them to dry, probably a week or so if it didn't rain so much.

But somewhere I heard its best to dry your buds nice n slowly, and it can add better potency. Let me say I was surprised at how potent this stuff was when I smoked it up.

The strain was "sativa slang" from sativa seedbank. Seems like im the only one on the web thats grown these. Would grow them again, they were basically "set n forget" I literally visited them 7 times from start to finish including harvesting. But I got lucky with the rains, when it didn't rain for more than 5 days id haul my ass up there with gallons of water and give em something to drink with a few ferts, and thats it. Ended up with a shit load of weed, cant remember how much. I stupidly put some in a ziploc and stored it away, it wasn't dry enough yet, so it got all moldy, and I ended up throwing away a good 8 O's there.
