Quick Question, plz help

hey guys so my seedlings are about 6 days old, about 14 inch under 250 hps, there is slight stretching from leaving them too low under the light. i moved them 2 nights ago. so my ? is, can i add more soil to my 16oz cup to help strenghten the stem or should i wait until transplant? if i add 1-2 more inches of soil and mist, is there any problem? im at work so i cant post pic, i will later, they are very green and look happy! thanks guys!

Yes agreed, add more soil. Maybe stick some kind of steak next to the stem and use a twisty tie to hold the seedling in place if it leans over.

ALSO, i have a tent, i need to leave most the vents open to maintain 81 degrees or else it shoots to 86! my humidy is very low tho, only 20%, what can i do besides a humidifyer? i realize that my humidity is low because of the ventilation, any quick solutions? how do u feel about wet paper towels if they are replaced regularly? thanks!!

thanks but what should i do about the humidity situation, temp is under control because of good ventilation but my humidity is suffering from it, i kno this would be great for flowering but shouldnt new borns be exposed to more humidity?

you can try and hang some damp towels around the room or leave containers of water with a large opening on them to allow for evaporation.. you could also try and spray some water on the plants about an hour or two before the lights come on to help bring the rh up some, but there is nothing like adding a humifier imho..

Yep that is what i do. I fill small bowls of warm/hot water, and place them around my plants. Most of my current grow had had very low humidity as well, it think your better off with too low rather than too high humidity. So you should be alright.

If you bury the stem it will grow roots between your current dirt line and the new dirt line. Once in college, I was in a pinch because I was going home for the weekend and couldn't water. I soaked paper towels with water and wrapped them around the stems figuring it would drain slowly into the soil. Three days later when I returned towels were completely dry and roots crawling all through them.
Add dirt to firm stem, small fan too to strenghten stems. Good advice.

thanks alot fellas, going to add some soil in about an hour when the lights come on and try putting more bowls of water into the tent..i'll post some pics later on
