Am i alergic to northern lights and few other strains???

hey eveyone, im sure im goin to be laughed at for this but its buggin me..
ok ill start by telling you i have hayfever and im alergic to Fruit! if i eat an apple for example, my lips swell and my throat itches like crazy, running nose and sneezing, alot like the hayfever..
i also find that everytime i smoke northern lights and some other strains i get hayfever like symptoms.. itchy throat, running nose, sneezing and itchy eyes.
ive pondered on it many of times, usually coming to the conclusion that there must be pollen/male plant in the weed or chemicals, but i dont think so.. its happened too many times from good weed..
so maybe im allergic to some strains of weed also?
does anybody else suffer the same?
any doctors on here?

You could simply be allergic to marijuana?

Have you ever heard of/looked up "Oral Allergy Syndrome"? Maybe you should do so. It matches the symptoms you have listed.

probably just the wya that particular northern lights was grown.

they may have used something or sprayed it with something you may be allergic to, who knows.

either way, I"ve never heard of people being specifically allergic to certain strains.

any way the quality is harmed e.g. same grower not wanting to take a pay cut and maybe little of these he grows get bud rot?

your awesome, i looked it up on wiki and that definitly sounds like the problem i have. it says about allergy to apples as i mentioned and the hayfever like symptoms i get.

there is no way, im most certainly not alergic to all strains of marijuana.. ive been to amsterdam a few times, and a couple of weeds over there made me like this but not many at all.
also ive smoked weed for 8 year tried many of different strains and there are only few that make me have the symptoms of hayfever.

ive bought northern lights many of times from different growers and always seem to get this hayfever.. and a cough that lasts a day or two.
the reason i kept buying northern is cause i had convinced myself the last lot hadnt been flushed properly or something, but now im sure im alergic to some strains.

so im goin to take loads of anti histamines (hayfever tablets) and see if i can finish this 8th.

i took some anti histamines about 30mins ago.. think there working, there to counteract the chemical my body would release when i encounter pollen.. (for my hayfever)
i suffer from hayfever bad in the summer, and theres an injection you can get for it but the last time i asked my doctor he said i was too young as the injection could mess with hormones. that was about 5 year ago so ill ask again when i can get to the docs. that injection lasts a year and apparently makes you immune to pollen/hayfever, so maybe then i could smoke my favourite taboo!
or maybe its just been badly flushed weed and a reaction to plant feed all along.. dont think so though..

well im half the way down this spliff n i havent sneezed or coughed yet n i dont want to scratch my eyes out either.. the hayfever tablets must have worked. my nose is still running but it has been since yesturday when i got this stuff..
Thanks shepj +Rep .. i thought it was a reaction to the matter of the plant if anything, but googling 'Oral Allergy Syndrome' cleared it up, and its just the body that releases the same thing as it would to pollen,.. the anti histamine tablets have stopped my body releasing histamine which was causing my symptoms.. or atleast thats what i understood from wiki..

I am going to go with what you had previously convinced yourself of. It is probably a form of nutrients or some shit.

have you tried vaporizing? it may make it worse or it may help . . . hard to say.

Whatever he is allergic to will probably still be present.

thanks for the input guys, i was able to enjoy that weed after taking a few hayfever tablets, still felt some small effects but no where near as bad as i had been.
the anti histamines dont make my hayfever go away neither but they do make it bearable.. i would say that they had the same effect on the same symptoms of heyfever..
suppose the next step would be to take some hayfever tabs and see if i can eat an apple..

after looking on wiki at Oral Allergy Syndrome, it says people who are allergic to fruit Wrongly self diagnose that they are allergic to the pestasites that have been used, and in actual fact it is the fruit that an OAS sufferer will be alergic to, or rather some of the natural chemicals found in fruit.
also i used apples as an example cos there about the worst, and oranges etc but bannanas only give me slight tingling on the back of my throat, if anything.. so different fruits effect me in different ways, perhaps its the same for weed?
i can sit and smoke blueberry, jack herrer, bubblegum and many other strains and i dont get any hayfever symptoms, ive never felt ill after smoking blueberry, not once.. but northern lights, itchy throat everytime, sneezing and my eyes tingle n all sorts its awfull, my eyes hurt so much i feel like scratching them out sometimes.
a vapourizer may work but i dont have the money for one at the moment, if i come across anymore weed that makes me have the symtoms of hayfever ill take some of my hayfever tablets,.. sounds like common sense but i never really connected them before, i just thought i was alergic to pollen, citric acid in fruits and badly flushed weed but now im sure its all related to the same thing, my body releasing histamines.. Oral Allergy Syndrome! also i learned from wiki if i tell my doctor i get heart spasms aswell that makes me anaphylactic and i would get to use a EpiPen!!! Adrenaline injection.. gotta be fun! heart spasms are created by the bodies cells releasing histamine inside the heart.. ive always wanted to try an EpiPen!

also i have smoked lots of weed knowing that it had chemicals in, and not suffered the allergies.
ive just put out a blueberry spliff that my mate is growing, he just come to my house n gave me a spliff of his stuff, with the warning ive only just put it on a flush today but taste that!.. it tasted nice, i could taste there was chemicals in there but i didnt get my allergies.. i dont know what chemicals he is feeding, deffinetly had some fish emultion in there though...
ive also smoked my own stuff unflushed whilst using Vita Bloom and another time when i was using Canna products and suffered no allergies!
this brings me to the conclusion that im allergic to the acids within some strains but not others.. each plant tastes differently so surely it must contain different chemicals to another strain?

Try taking an antihystamine like benadryl or something like zyrtek and see if it helps. Each pill works a different way and there are a couple ways allergy meds work so try both types and see what works best...

yeh your right man benedryl contains Dipenhydramine and zirtec contains cetirizine..
i usually have a few different types for the hayfever but i only have cetirizine tablets at the moment.
ill be goin to the doctors on monday, asking for some different types of tablets or the hayfever injection.. and maybe try blag an EpiPen
