This is very important what i'm going to let you know here. If you dont have a problem with humidity, your going to want to recirculate that co2 and heat;for one to save you money, if it were me i'd also have an emergency vent not on the recirculation vent system for temps over 90. THIS IS KEY!!! Dont run co2 unless you have temps above 80F and below 90F approx.:mrgreen:, trust me on this.:mrgreen:
 
hey man. i have been looking all over for a seriously detailed DWC guide, from planting the seeds in the rockwool, to when to put the rockwool cubes into the hydroton etc. all i find is bubbleponics guides and such. i need to know if as soon as the seed germs in the rockwool cube do you put it in the system in the net pots with hydroton or do you wait until they show roots at the bottom of the cube and THEN put it in the system and let them find their way through the hydroton to the water. i broke the tip of my roots on TWO seedlings that are only a week old trying to figure this out....
 
i vent for 15 minutes then when it goes off my co2 kicks on for 15 min. it's set up to do this every 2 hours while lights are on. co2 does nothing for your girls after lights out.

Alright Donkey, let me get this straight.

When your lights come on how long do you add c02?(As in minutes?) then after that the fan comes on? ...

What is your EXACT schedule.

So you spray once every 2 hours?

I read shit til 200am yesterday, and there are so many different schedules/preferences out there.


Here's the deal people.

Id like to keep my ozone generator on, and also would like to keep my canfan going too.

At least the canfan.

I wanna seal up my room 100% and run the canfan in the room and not vent it out anywhere, just inside of the room.

Is this OK?

One member said it was, but will the carbon fuck up the gas??

And would it be bad to leave the ozone generator on since the room is sealed up..Probably not huh?

Can anyone give me some definite answers?

Fuck, if I thought it was this hard to set it up Id never went out and bought it.

I read, Some people go through the bottles in days, and some go through the gas once a month..

Im confused like a motherfucker....:-|
 
Yea sorry I don't know anything more specific about co2. I was basing my suggestion off common sense more than any specific knowledge. Right now my biggest enemy is the fluctuating temps in the Colorado winter so co2 isn't really an option for my current grow. Good luck with your co2 quest. I'm going to save this thread for when I take the plunge as I'm sure by then you'll have everything dialed in like a pro!

It's funny you mention your hydro store guys aren't a very good source of info. The people that run and own my hydro store ALL grow in soil! They know some stuff but I can't get into anything hydro specific....

The hydro store sells the equipment,
But they have no idea how to set it up??
It cracks me up.

If I worked there, I would be a pro,
And could inform people to the fullest.

Iam fairly new in hydro, and brand new with co2.

I figured hydro out pretty much on my own, and with the help of some of the more experienced growers on this site.

Its funny how there is hardly anyone who really knows co2.

Oh well, Ill figure it out, and let others know how to do it I guess.

Last fall when I introduced co2 into my flower room, it change the environment so much that it stressed out my plants and I lost my indoor crop to bugs. I was new to co2 and I'm not going to risk that kind a stress again. I had it on the lowest setting and ppm was not excessive. I found it an unnecessary expense, but I have a good air exchange with outside and shouldn't need it as much as when you have a cloosed environment.
Now I'm dealing with another kind of stress. I left the door open last night in my flower room and the temp go down to 48. My poor blooming ladies.:-( Hope the stress doesn't attract any bugs this time.
 
ok man, my lights come on at 7 am. my co2 turns on at the same time and is on for 15 minutes at 6 psi. at 8:45 my exhaust comes on and runs for 15 min. as soon as it shuts off my co2 kicks back on for 15 min. then at 9:45 my exhaust kicks back on ect... this keeps going on till 7 pm when everything shuts off and my exhaust runs all night till lights until 7 am lights on co2 on fan off. i hope that clears it up. if not holla back

Its funny, the directions say leave the reg at 30 psi, and you said 6 psi.

The directions also tells me to run the c02 for 2 1/2 hrs when the lights first start up...

LOL!! Confusing, to say the least.

Im gonna go with the 6 psi like what your running, and follow your instructions.

30 psi for 2 hours will burn em. definately dont do that. its just like ferts, less is more
