Had some questions about cfls i recently picked up 2 big 120w bright white and its doing ok. But i have been doing alot of research and realized that i need full spectrum - daylight bulb the only one they have is 27w would 4 of these work in a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 grow box.

I know they have big 100w daylight bulbs at about $50 a piece is that to much for that little area i am sure its never to much but could i get by with these 27w or what would be recomended. thanks fot the help!

you need more lighting, especially for flowering. you need 6,000 - 10,000 lumens per square foot with 6 total square feet =>35,000 lumens. your lights provide 4x27 x 60 lumens/watt = 6,000 lumens. you need 24 of the light bulbs.

on the package says 1400 lumens would that get me through veg and then spend the money on higher wattage bulbs 2700k for flowering?

i use the home depot 27w 5500k bulbs for vegging, sounds like the bulbs you're describing
they do work very well for vegging, and the price comparison with the big bulbs is very favorable
$10 for 4 of these compared to $50 for the big 100w bulb, and you'l probably get a bit more lumens from the 27w
at least that's what i've seen for most bulb specs of these sizes
