I was reading and found that lux cant be added up but lumens can be. A light meter only measures lux Im new to this just trying to get all the details.
trust me man ...lumins don't add either... i don't care what the *Experts * say :) with cfl's there is to much degradation in the light spectrum with verry little horsepower to drive the lumins...

Gotcha son thats why they have to be put so close to the plant I found a CFL that produces 2700 lumens I was thinkin maybe if I put 2 of them in the center mounting them horizontal for optimum light output instead of having them pointing straight down

this is one of my plant experiments but you can get a idea of how i position mine and how to get the most intensity .. i have 1 tube fixture mounted to the back one to the front door and 2 150 watt equivalent 2700K's dangling on chains ... as you will see with the front door off and only the 3 running and not the 4th off the door...intensity is NOT a issue

the configuration ..

running full throttle closed up.... ZERO light leaks... :bigjoint:

here ya go hope i helped :)

Sweet setup just like mine but I have all my lights under a hood and my vegging setup I run (4) 24" tubes at 7800k, 4 26w 6500k and 120 super bright LEDs mixture between 435nm and 625nms(dont know if they help but worth a try they only pull like .04 amps but have 850 lumens) and my walls are paneled in flat white. What is you normal temp lights on and lights off. I had a problem with ventalation awhile back and they got to hot like around 92*F anf one of my lights fell to close and burnt the bottom leaves since then its seems all my older leaves are turning yellow. I try to keep it under 80*F with lights on and 65*f off I think the leaves turning is normal because they are being replaced my new foliage at every cola and I have hairs on the first 3 colas but just leaves the bottom 4. they are only 16 days into flowering today. I will try to get pics when the lights go back on I just got batteries for my camera. Looks like you used a little LST on those plants.

yea right now it is hovering around 85 degrees in there but im going to add a reverse pressure fan into a carbon filter later on today soon as i call walmart and make sure they have the charcoal in for my DIY but if i crack the door about 3 mm the heat drops right down to between 78 and 81 degrees so the fan should fix the temps easily and i have a relative humidity right now of 40% and about 45% with lights and fan off so its pretty stable so far... if you wanna check out more about the box here is my build link .. https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/310071-another-damn-cfl-growbox.html
