What does too much or too little humidity do to plants?? I know in flower it will cause mold on the buds but what about in veg.

Also whats a good way to increase humidity? I tried putting a container of water in my cab but it only bumped the humidity up a few percent

Use an oscillating fan to blow over the water.. ;-)

To much moisture causes mold. To little and your plants will get thirsty. The latter isn't so bad. But def. watch out for mold and fungi issues.

Relative humidity is the ratio between how much moisture is actually in the air & how much vapor said air can hold at a certain temperature.( yeah i know i haven't made it any easier)
What this actually means i dont know, lol only joking , what it means for a grower is that at lights off, humidity will rise because the ability of the air to hold this vapor will be compromised.. so humidity will rise quite sharply & this need's to be countered with good air recirculation & a heater, if the temps fluctuate more than 15 f at lights off, which they will do in winter.
Low humidity on the other hand will cause your leafs to curl upwards, in a cup shape to retain as much water on their leafs as possible, if the conditions persist then the stomata will close, slowing down transpiration & hence plant growth. You can use a fogger/mister if your bucket & fan trick is not enough.
