so jealous! y cant mine just start shooting white hairs all over the place! just lil balls everywhere!

Edit: well I'm only 7days into 12/12 so do you think it can still be deciding on a sex? or should i just chuck it cuz it looks like a male to me

I always wait an extra couple days til the balls start to grow away from the node then I pull it. I seen balls on my 1 Kali Brains and had to cut em after I waited 2 more days... Day 9 into 12/12... Turned out male after I allowed it to dry a little while I noticed it was more covered with balls then I had figured. I was gonna make tea with it then said fuck it and tried to make some hash but got pollen lol Never gonna do that again.

dont matter... u can expariment with it.. see like how much of your food it takes right now for it to show signs of nute burn, or how strong you can make your mixture or something... atleast till u get your new seeds!

If it's a male it will be stronger than most females so that wouldn't work as well as you think. You can however see what a "marijuana" plant can withstand. Try experimenting with things you wouldn't do to a female without trying first like break a branch and put it back with tape, or flick the stem on the nodes to make it stronger, or put it in heats above what it's used to and see how much it can stand so you know what not to exceed for your fems. Just a thought lol

yea it's deff a male plant i can see the pollen balls pushing away from the nodes now and that's pretty much the deff tell for a male im pretty shur. sooooo chop it down??? besides when i got home from work today the lowerd leaf sets are drooping and sagging a bit, may be because ive given it no fert what so ever since 12/12 nor have i gave it more P as aposed to N but oh well not like that seed costed me anything and it was ment to be a learning experience and not a harvest, a harvest would have just been the icing on the cake. so lets hope those seeds show up tomorrow... i wanna smoke this whole plant hahah even tho i know it wont do shit all lol. god being outta pot sux!

yeaah, I'd just kill it. Having just 1 male plant, I can't really think of anything useful you could really do with him... plant him somewhere where you'll not care or ever see him again? *shrug* they aren't too much use by themselves.

yea I didnt think i can do anything with it maybe make some tea, but it would just be for flavor haha deff not a buzz or anything...
But i think I'm gunna take it down tomorrow and wait for those seeds, save a bit of power for a couple days, or maybe not lol cuz that might be noticeable on the elec bill Id rather it stay were it norally is so my step dad isnt liike wtf y did that go down a bit lol but there only cfl's they cant use that much power.
I still want to be able to get some good focused picture to post before I crap it well see if i can get a camera soon.

I'll do my best today buddy to get home as fast as I can, grab the camera and jet back in for a few hours. We're gonna need to get ourselves some Proper soil this time. Coco, Fox Farms and or some other one. Our mix was good, but not optimal. Since we paid for these seeds, I say buy some soil instead. It's dirt Cheap (get it?)

I also want to see the plant before he/she gets chopped and I want to take a leaf (or 5... Maybe more) to hang on my wall after I flatten and dry the bastards (Plus I want a tea too ) What time ya workin today/ Goin to school. I'll do my best at getting there asap and I'll try and keep you posted if they arrive or not. No longer counting the days since they haven't arrived yet. FAIL. Oh well.

and if you boys are gunna buy soil.. all i did was bought the most organic soild i could and mixed it with perlite...

hasent had anyproblems yet.
you gotta remember tho... it is a weed.. it will grow in anything

I hate to do it bro but I have to dis-agree with you on this 1... It is a soft tissue plant and will grow the same as tomatoes if in the right conditions. It will grow the best if you grow it like a tomato plant. If you are thinking about unplugging and tearing down I would say go ahead because a couple cfls (even 4-10) wont make that huge a difference in the electric bill. Heaters and air conditioners make a bigger dent than even hps lights. You can still keep it stealth even with the lights out. Here's a formula to find out how much electricity you are using. Find out how much your electricity costs per kilowatt.

Watt of appliance X Hours of use X Days per month / 1 Kilowatt X Price per Kwatt.

My room runs roughly 800 watts between veg and flower including pumps and fans. Flower room has 500 watts and veg has roughly 500 watts. As far as lights though my veg room runs 3 cfls and 2 twin 2 bulb 4 foot fixtures with total of (4) 40 watt cool white bulbs, everything together for veg is about 230 watts and for flower the lights are (3) 150watt HPS (they suck for anything more than 1 plant) so that's 450 watts in my flower room. The price per Kilowatt here is $0.12 USD, here's the cost of my lights per month...
Veg
238 watts X 18 hours/day = 4284 watts/day X 30 days/mo (estimated) = 128,520 watts/mo / 1 Kilowatt (kilo = 1000) = 128.52 Kwatts X $0.12/Kwatt = $15.42 / month.
I pay 15.42 per month on my veg lights
Flower
450 watts X 12 hours/day = 4500 watts/day X 30 days/mo (estimated) = 162000 watts/mo / 1 Kilowatt (kilo = 1000) = 162 Kwatts X $0.12/Kwatt = $19.44/ month.
I pay $19.44 per month on my flower lights.

If you want to get technical the formula is...

Watt of appliance X Hours of use X Days per year(365) / 12 months/year / Kilowatt X Price per Kwatt.

I know it's a lot of reading sorry but it's a formula I use all the time.

I made some tea with the males from my grow, (I started with 5 plants and got 2 females) U have to boil at least 2 or three times in whole milk (u need milk fat as water just wont do it, or strong alchol lol) it had sort of a cheese taste which I blamed on the milk but it was partly the plant too(idk why). It had mild but nice effect on me from just one cup full. As for the stems Chew Em', yeah they are good to chew kind of like quid.

Lol milk? Never heard of that but I know water does just fine when boiling for tea. I usually boil them after removing the pollen sacks and then let them sit til they cool off and sift it into a cup. I usually get about 2-3 cups off a decent sized male. Yea the bill shouldn't be too bad. I just harvested 3 if my girls and am gonna upload and post them on my thread if you wanna come check it out bros.
