OK, I've been reading a lot lately on these boards about people who believe they've seen a UFO and then go on to conclude that that ='s aliens.
I wanted to point out just how illogical and unlikely that is.
First is the distances - space, it's HUGE. Billions of light years across. Our own galaxy is 100,000 light years wide. For an alien species to traverse the void of space, accomplish that feat, then crash land in Roswell or blink patterns of lights in the sky for 10 minutes then leave immediately seems silly.
I'm not saying aliens don't exist. I think without a doubt intelligent life exists outside our planet, I just don't think one has ever came to our planet, and these things people see in the sky are man made. They just attribute them to "aliens" because that's the preconceived idea they had before they ever saw the object because of our society. It perpetuates the idea aliens exist so when they see an unknown object that doesn't look like anything they've seen before, automatically it's aliens until proven otherwise.
What's your take on this?
