How much money is made by these drug companies seliing manufactured drugs to our sick people. Marijuana is a natural solution to many of these manmade drugs. The big drug companies are not for the legalisation of cannabis as they will not make as much money. You would of thought the people that make and sell us drugs would want the best for our health. Instead of trying to sell us anything they can get away with, instead of lining their pockets.

While i am sure that could be a tiny part of it I dont think that is really why decriminalization hasn't occurred. I think the main reason is Lack of experience, knowledge, and misconceptions of the general public. Lets the main stereotypes of pot related persons are:
the hippy- which mildly annoys people and are often left alone,
the giggling pothead stoner- which many people feel sorry for and want them to clean up and be like everyone else,
the dealer- this draws contempt from people as they feel like he/she is taking advantage of the helpless user,

Lets face it weed doesnt cure all ills, and drug companies make many many products so I seriously dont think they are that worried about it, If weed lowered cholesterol, helped menopause, and decreased stroke/ heart disease then i think your point would be more valid.

We still dont know all the medicinal properties found in cbds. Research in this has got to be better than man made alternatives.
