Advanced nutrients boycott

Sore subject I know. Has anybody noticed there are fewer and fewer places selling Advanced? Is this Sun muscle flex boycott thing still in force and possibly working? Or are there just better products out there.

And why the general hate toward Advanced? Prices? Marketing for MJ use? I have found most of their base products comparable in price to other companies. Humboldt is just as bad price wise but that's ok, they have better art.

The way I see it, look at a company and its line of nutes right when they entered the marketplace. Thats the shit that works because thats the shit that will make or break them . Like wasn't Iguana juice one of the first for AN ? I know that shit works excellent for the organic peeps. I use Sensi and it works great, without sups. Works great for vegging tomatoes too,

Just think of the demand for all these companies if , i mean when ,CA legalizes MJ in Nov..

Everyone that I know that uses an including me has much better results as compared to fox farm or recipe for success. I don't know about humbolt I've never seem anyone use them but my buddy who has the best around(for sure no contest and I've looked high and low state wide) uses an and swears by them just says don't follow the label they are super strong. I'm still pretty new but they worst I've seen used is flora nova and gh. Could have been the growers though who knows but as my Grandpa allways told me you get what you pay for.

I heard from the encyclopedia dude at my dispensary that the money went the way of the Moroccan Mob so he stopped using them. He has 15 years under the belt and he told me Canna if you can find it, i guess they are super sketchy about what shops sell their products. He also was a big fan of the Botanicare line. But I still have NEVER heard any other complaints and most people I know use them. It shocks me you can find shops without!!! Good luck man!!!

All I know is the Australian arm of Advanced Nutrients went out of business... That doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence about the company that's for sure... But I've been using Canna products for close to 15 years...I wouldn't change as I have it dialled in now...

I used bio bizz veg, then canna terra flores,Canna is great stuff and I think I will stick with it.I think it has a lot to do with the grower as well,if something works for you then you use it again.I would think advanced do plenty research before they release the stuff on the market, but I dont know. They have lots of stuff on youtube anyway they look proper pros.I will always stick with biobizz soil and canna nutes, then when I try my new ebb n flo I will go with canna hydroponic nutes, after reading lots of threads bout them seems its great stuff.

Thats the thing....Will legalize is not the same thing as legal. So any product that is made specifically to grow or cultivate MJ will be frowned upon (by government) and will have a rough time being sold in countries where MJ isnt fully legalized yet. My hydro store said they cant carry it because it is geared toward MJ which i think is alot of smoke because alot of nutes are. Just my 2 cents....

Most of the advanced nutrients contain urea and edta. The urea needs to be broken down, thus the need for the enzyme products and compost added to all their feeding schedules. And the edta chelates kill off the beneficial stuff in the soil.

Their products, such as their humic and fulvic acids, are twice as much as competing humic/fulvic with the same %'s. Botanicare Sweet is pretty much the same thing as Bud Candy, but its cheaper and works better. Same thing with Pure Blend Original and Mother Earth tea.

Their beneficial fungi/bacteria can all be purchased in powder form from many different companies for a much better price.

Wow. You've had two postings and you used one of them to link AN to the mob. Yeah, that doesn't scream shill at all.

LOL

I love it the stories people come up with about Advanced Nutrients. I mean, really, don't people have better things to do? For example, work on your grow?

I mean, it's cool when people talk about what they like, but why does it have to include a rip on others? I mean, if you know that AN doesn't work - or you've seen it not work, THAT'S what I would want to hear about.

For me, I love the nutes because they work. And I'm not going to sit here, wasting my breath by talking shit about other nutes. It's stupid, it's unproductive, and it's not going to help any newbies out, now is it? Nope.

I want to know where you got this crap information? Of course, with the few postings, I stand by the claim that you're just be paid by someone else to spread lies.

Folks - this guy doesn't seem to be someone to trust. Listen to other folks who have had more experience and can actually tell you about it.

Don't worry about the smell of the Botanicare stuff. Its because they are an organic/synthetic blend that they have that smell.

I used Botanicare products for about 2yrs or so with great results. The yeilds were not giant, but the buds were great. I have since switched to Humboldt Nutrients. Although they are a little expensive to get started with, most of their nutes will last at least a couple of grows. I had my best yeild ever with the Humboldt Nutrients. I got just over 28oz from 1200watts. Their service not the greatest, so if you have questions you may have a hard time getting them answered, but their products work great.

Go suck on somethin bro!
Alls you do is knock other brands and then come back with"try jacks classic". Ill admit, I was useing AN untill I listened to idiots like you. I was 5 weeks into flower with Big Bud and some little voice cryed out and said, "Go buy Dyna-Gro Bloom". Well I did. I used 1/4 strength and watered with 10% drain off. Couple hours later, THE CLAW. Fuck cheap nutes. There just like cheap gas. People dont like paying more for nutes, in fact my heart fucking pounds droppin 35 bucks on some Gravity. But, I do it because I KNOW it works. I tried Dyna Gro twice now. Both with the same results. Just way to strong.

As far as AN not being around more and more. Well, there are only so many shops that can represent AN. I would imagine, its the Hydro stores that can afford there packages. Some mofos just dont like em, I say try em. Youll change your mind. We need haters though. Thats what keeps me goin. Jacks Classic, phhhh, sounds like the Uncle Ben dionosuar has followers. Cheap bastards. Peace,SS

In just a couple of hours you ended up with curled leaves? That doesn't sound like it was the new nutes that you used. SOunds like there was problem long before you ever tried the other nutes.

AN does have some interesting products, however, most are made by other companies as well. As I mentioned before, all of their base nutes contain urea and edta's, so they are not the highest quality of products. Urea must be broken down in by microbes in the soil before it is available. So you need to use all the crazy beneficial fungi/bacteria that AN makes just so that the nutes are available to the plant.

So now you spent all that money on your AN base nutes and Scorpion Juice, etc. But when you water with nutrients containing EDTA's as chelates, they kill off the beneficial stuff in the soil. So now your adding fertilizer to the soil that will never be available to the plant. It will just build up in your soil over time and cause a problem.

Their additives like scorpion juice and whatnot are over priced at best. They are in a liquid form which means they are going to be much more diluted than a powder form. And they are more expensive than the powder.

Their bloom boosters, like Big Bud with an NPK ratio of 0-1-2, is exact same ratio as many other bloom boosters. They say it contains L-aminos like this is something special. Many products contain L-aminos, AN just advertises it more.

That is exactly how they sell their products, they spend millions on marketing. Shit, they just came out with Rosebud magazine which is basically just a giant advertisement for AN. It's just like when you buy shirt. A plain $3 generic t-shirt is going to work just as well for just as long as a plain $30 name brand shirt. But since we have been conditioned to buy what is marketed to us best, we buy the more expensive one thinking it is "better quality".

I might be worried if I grew that crop organic, but I didnt, and yes, it was the Dyna Gro. I monitor my plants everyday, as this is not just for fun, but for patients that need the proper medicine. I can say that I always focus on leaf health all the way up to the last three weeks of the plants life. Nice flat lush leaves, then after ONE 1/4 strengthg application, my plants claw.Im am no where near a noob and I understand that you might be smarter or more informed than me, but when I get 1 gram per watt per, light light, with Advanced, I know that something right. Its not the Co2 because I dont use any. I DO know tha AN works for my strains and soil. I will try other things and am not blocked in but to talk shit on them because they want your busness, come on!

Not just a couple hours my friend, but a couple min or even seconds it took for the leaves to curl. Ph at 6.4 and water temp @ 65 deg. 450ppm.
