FREE CO2 - just breathe on your plants!

Yes, I thought this was ridiculous too, until I really thought about it, then did some research. You may laugh, but if you just stand and exhale on the top of your canopy for a few minutes a day (only while the light is on, obviously) you could theoretically give them enough co2 boost to be noticeable in plant development.

I theorized this is why my plants seemed to "miss" me. I'd go away for a few days and not see much growth when I got back - then after 24 hours of being home they would explode! Of course there are other explanations for this, but I feel it could certainly be a contributing factor. There is legitimate research that singing to plants increases growth rates as well, possibly explained by the CO2 link.

Obviously if you have over thirty plants you would pass out trying this method. HOWEVER for micro - to - small closet grows, I believe this could be a legitimate and safe method of boosting co2.

After all, human breath is 4% CO2 exhaled - that's 40,000 ppm!! even an increase from 300 to 500 ppm in the grow area can drastically effect your plants.

happy growing!

Theres a very nominal difference in the O2 and CO2 levels of breath and normal air, we dont actually effect the air around us that much for it to be noticible I think.

yes exactly. and when visiting your garden the temperature often raises from you being in there too which is also good.

i try to spend atleast 5 mins a day telling my plant how beautiful she is. call it hookie but i think it helps, C02 wise, and it gives me something to do lol

40,000 PPM, you have disgraced yourself

haters! all of ya! :finger::finger::finger:

then why do my plants look so damn good? :blsmoke::blsmoke::blsmoke:

I just thought it was interesting, no one's forcing anyone to read it. ;-)

Here's another thing I just saw, researchers have discovered the gene to increase tomato yields 200%. Why don't we have any crack weed scientists on this?

ok ill give it to ya, its got alot of trichs but trich production is based on climate and genetics more than anything else... :lol:
