Ever seen leaves do this? I really could use some advice.

Hiyas,

I am continuing to worry about my white widow. Her leaves are folding under or curling under. Not sure what u wanna call it. I never see this in any of the other threads about problems.

Info. 9 days into flowering Veged right at 6 weeks. 400w hps with a few 26 watt 2700k cfls for side lighting.

Ffof soil, 3 gal grow bag. Two other plants, diff types, no issues so far.

Nutes FF big grow, big bloom. One starter feed of tiger bloom about 5 days ago.

Flushed her yesterday 6.5 ph water with runoff also at 6.5 from the beginning to the end.. Seems to be folding worse today.

Any help would be much appreciated.

that looks to me either nute burn (nitrogen overdose) or heat stress, or a combination of both. im leaning more toward heat stress, how far is the plant from the hps light? should be at least 18 inches from a 400watt?

Thanks. I thought it kinda looked like nitrogen od yesterday but couldnt get any confirmation. Hopefully the flush I did will help.

The light is bout 12" away, I have a 4inch intake and a 6 inch exhaust fan, temps dont get over 78. I will try moving it up some and see if that helps also, but I dont think thats it, cause I have a plant a couple inches taller than this one, but its doing fine.

You may possibly have a moisture problem, my leaves started curling down when I switched to a bigger light for flowering. The bigger light was drawing more moisture our of the plants therefor leaving them hungry and dried out. I used a moisture tested that I could stick right into my soil and it was at .5 when it should be between 2.5-3.5 I watered her thoroughly and within 24 hours her leaves were standing back up and reaching for the light. by yourself a cheap moisture tester and check it out. good luck peace

Thanks, They arent really dry tho. I have a soil probe. I go by the weight of the pot and stick a finger in when in doubt.

I flushed 2 days ago now, and this morning shes lookin even worse. Does anyone have any other ideas pls? I really dont wanna lose this plant. Gonna go take some fresh pix and post them shortly.

I had the same issue. A flush with clearex from botanicare, and a watering with 1/4tbl spoon of superthrive per gallon of RO water. Took the girl about a week but she bounced back with PERFECT foliage growth and I slowly re entered nutes back into her feeding. Just make sure you're flushing with a cleanser if you're showing issues. Could be a salt build up, depending on the type of water you use, how often you feed ETC. I like to feed every other feeding and flushing weekely with the clearex. Works wonder hydro and soil..Good luck with you're girl shes got a lot of potential!

I'll just let her pot dry up some then from the flushing, and then give her a lil food and see how she does.

Heres a couple pix from today if anyone wants to check em out and see if theres anything else ya think I should do.

I sure appreciate the help.

yea ur definitely not gonna lose her... if ur heating is fine it has to be a nute burn then. since u flushed im sure ull be fine u just gotta wait for her to get better.

Update. Been several days since I flushed, the problem has gone up anoth er set of fan leaves higher. Gave her some plain water as the pot was dryin out some. Heres some pix from today, I have no idea what to do for her. Right at 2 weeks into flowering now.

Lil help please?

get another fan in your room, it will make the differance you are looking for, had the same problem a lil while back. as my lights got way to warm and started causing heat bubbles.... not good... try adding another fan

hey mate. yeah i just read your hole thread and your right she does look to be getting weaker. Don't let it get to ya bro. I have seen other plants on RIU that were loads worse than her and survived to become monsters. If she keeps deteriateing then go on to the advanced growers thread. Ask some Q. they seem to be very helpful..... and will prob have the answer's. Sorry i aint got a solution for you as im a new grower myself.... But like i said go see the advanced guy's on here....

looks like to me thats what you have. nitrogen def
whats your airflow like in there? hurricane? whats the RH?
sometimes leaf burn is caused by excessive air movement/lack of foliar spraying.
too much air movement makes the plants transpire quicker, faster than the roots can uptake to replace the lost moisture... this burns alot of h2o so you end up with a plant that is dehydrated when the root zone is not... similar to light burn but takes longer to become apparent

Hmm low nitro? Interesting, If this is the case ive been doing just the opposite and starvin her lol thats not good. I thought she had too much. I do have to other plants in the grow.. albiet diff types. I gave them veg food (grow big) so they wouldnt be low on nitro, their leaves are all green an healthy still.

Humidity is 30-35% in the tent. Temps are 70-75 lights on and 62- 65 lights off. Not huge air movement. 6 inch exhaust at the top, 4 inch intake at the bottom. I see some slight movement of the leaves but not huge. I also rotate all 3 plants in the tent, and shift thier places around everytime I have them out. Pretty much daily. Dont see this on the other two.

I appreciate all the thoughts guys. Since flushing and just water havent helped, maybe it is a deficiency instead of a burn and I should give her a good batch of big bloom and grow big. Or maybe even some tiger bloom. Its scarry tho to think I might make it worse. Can u feed when they dont need water? Havent dont this ever.

go 1/4 strength with all those nutes... and watch the lady closely, very closely.
i also meant to add on the original post could be nute lockout due to soil ph.... which is a fancy term for overwatering

When I watered yesterday , runoff was 6.4. im still a noob for sure, but I dont believe she was overwatered. Now she was heavy for a few days after the flush, but it was 5 days when I gave her water yesterday and she was light.

looking at the photos i see the tips of leaves are burnt.
i have 5 weeks old plants look the same,burnt tips and leaves folding.
it may be due to overwatering and overfeeding.
i had a fan blowing hard on them,a week ago changed the direction of the fan to blow to the walls.nothing changed.
