Help-Flowering light with 18/4 cycle

Hey guys,

I have a plant that grew for like 12 weeks in a window and it is about 7 inches. Its a female and has a lot if pistles in the nodes. I figured i could just start to flower it, so i bought a 250wat flowering cfl with a reflector. I then realized that i will probably only be able to get around a 1/8 oz and i would like to continue to veg it 18/4.

So basically my question is, what will happen if i attempt to veg it with a flowering light 18/4? Will it strech? Will it continue to flower? Will it die? This is my first plant so i don't really know much, if you guys could tell me what you think that would be great.

There are 24 hours in 1 day, 18/4 is 22 hours.

and, you need 12/12 to flower.

technically, you are already flowering the plant from the window light. what you are trying to do is return it to veg which you can do by changing the light cycle to 18/6. it will take awhile for the plant to recover and start vegging again.

you can use a flowering light for vegging but it is a very inefficient use of electricity. if you get one 6500k, 42 watt cfl it would be better than using that high watt flowering cfl.

Go with 18/6 until the plant is about 16"-18" tall, then go into 12/12 flower.

Dont really wanna mess around with different time schedules.

It could give you some negative reactions.

I obviously made a mistake and wrote 18/4 instead of 18/6 thanks for correcting my math big guy.
