friend of mine has a plant in a tub, outside soil was transplanted with plant so there wouldn't be a change in soil... the plant has been transplanted for about three days at this point, and the leaves on the very bottom are completely yellow.
temp is in 70's, he had it on a 12/12 cycle, but now i told him to switch it to 20 to 24 hrs of light daily... that might have been the problem, but the new growth on top looks pretty healthy, so i doubt that's the cause.
he is using a miracle gro plant food, and im 95% sure that is the problem. 24-8-16 nutrient levels. he has 4 channels that penetrate the soil at different levels, this is where he waters every 2-3 days.
the tub it is in doesnt have a way to drain, so he doesn't wanna flush it if possible that way he doesn't have to cut the tote up,
does anyone have any other ideas besides a deficiency or toxicity in a nute level? and any specifics for whether n,p,or k causing it?
