Im a nub but had a question. Can I grow ak-48 auto and northern lights at the same time. Obviously the auto will be done sooner but can I grow them together and just pull the auto out when it's done?

The ak-48 finishes about the same time as a Northern Lights #5, so it will be a great combo! :)

Here's a description>> Since the mid 1990’s “AK” strains have been increasingly popular. Our AK-48 is one of the strongest early finishing strains available anywhere. AK-48 produces hard buds with an exceptional penetrating aroma. AK-48 is an indica/sativa hybrid yet it retains most of its sativa qualities in its high. AK-48 finishes in as early as 48 days if conditions are perfect.

* Plant type: Best suitable for indoor growing.
* Plant height: Short- Mostly Indica
* Stoned or high?: Stoned- Indica Body Buzz
* THC level: Strong 15-20%
* Flowering Weeks: 7/8
* Yield (Sea of Green on one m2) : 400/500
* Harvest Month: 10
* Grow difficulty: Moderate

Good luck man :)

Hello Howali :)

If your city tap water is real bad, or reads over 500 ppm, then Hardwater Micro,or distilled, or RO water, may be the only options.

Iam using straight tap water for my hydro ops.

My city's tap water's ph is 6.5 and only reads 50ppm on my digital meter.

Which I read is ideal for growing in hydroponics.

So, I believe Ill be in good shape.

My vegging plants running the General Hydroponic nutes for the last week or so are simple healthy and gorgeous.

Not a problem at all.

Nice thick full plants, with healthy leaves, and strong stems.. radiating with health.

Anyways, thats my thoughts have a nice eve. my friend :)

Iam thrilled over the results of the lucus Formula.

My vegging plants have really liked the GH nutes.

I rooted some GS in under 4 days using the dwc bubbler,
And added a 5-10 ratio of GH Micro and bloom, and they are completely enjoying their cocktail.

Within hours of adding this awesome mixture they stood up proud and seemed to even grow before my eyes.

What I really like about the GH nutes is that they are so clean to work with...Like Kool-Aid, instead of sludge.

The bottom of my bubblers were always covered with goo, and the big bloom made my roots look dingy, and clumped together after a while.

The other day, Before I put in the fresh gh nutes, I Gave each vegging plant a good bath in pure aqua to wash out some of that fox farm residue.

The bath worked indeed..White healthy roots once again! A site to see.(see pics)

I went out and bought the Floranova bloom today, and cant decide if i wanna use it or not.

Ive read that it is thick as molasses, and kinda like mud.

One guy said shake the bottle til your arms hurt.. WHAT?:o

After several more hours of study,
I think I'll stay with the two part, Micro and bloom, and that is all.

No more Superthrive either.

Im starting to face the facts here after reading non stop for days,..
Too much additives and crap can, and will mess up your plants.

Im going for the more KISS(keep it simple stupid ) method.

Like I wrote about 20 pages back,
Cheap chemical ferts blows the freakin doors off of highly $$$ inflated companies like AN...Its like that.

You'll see;-)

Whats really cool with the gh nutes, I haven't had to mess with the ph..Its dead on for days now.

Here's a few shots of my veg room.
I even watered my Northern lights #5 with a 5-10 mb ratio, and they have woken up!!!

So far, Ive seen nothing but the fastest growth and health with the gh nutes..

GH already Passed up the Fox farms, That I Will say.

The Fox farm worked, ..but its very messy, and the staining of the roots,.. and the expense using that stuff on 11 5 gallon buckets..Good God! LOL!!

Iam not really not into organics... And alot of the full line fox farm products have alot of organics in em.

Organics has its benefits, But nothing takes off like chemicals, and yields the highest..

Proven Fact.

You can believe it or not.

Im very excited to find the lucas Method/Formula.

Too easy..

I think its gonna be THE one :)

Made my Year :)

Peace out, and have a nice eve. :-)

Advanced nutrients is a bunch of snake oil the company was started and is ran by a bunch of marketing gurus. Although they are good at what they do (marketing) and heck if they can talk people into spending buku dollars on there over hyped products more power to them. But there is no way I will ever believe you need 16 different bottles of fertilizer and additives to feed your plants when you can have the same results with 1 bottle or in your case 2. And how much does it cost you everytime you do a nutrient change like $4 worth of GH... imagine if you were going with the full advance nutient schedule it would prob cost about $150 lol

Your post is as accurate as can be. :hump:

I already spent a few hundred changing out 11 buckets using the Fox Farms.

I cant imagine how much it would cost me if I was suckered into the AN hype. :o

Yea, like I mentioned so many times before,

The biggest plants Ive ever grown were grown using the Ol' school Peters "chemical ferts". :weed:

They were MUCH bigger than any of the plants using anything organic.

I like the GH 2 bottle idea/Lucas Method. Its so easy, and the price, a fraction what Id pay with Fox Farms, or AN. :-P

I considered buying only the one part GH SuperNova Bloom. But, heard too many horror stories on how that stuff is like Mud.

And you had to dilute with water, and shake the stuff til your arm hurt.

Im cool with that.

So it must of had some Organic material in it.

Im officially staying away from anything with organics from here on out.

I like the clean look of the GH flora series nutes.

So far, the GH has worked the best for me, as far as growing in hydro.

Iam not trying to make growing Mj a major scientific project.

Iam not buying 12 bottles of this and that either.

And Big Mike, he made himself look pretty stupid on a few of his videos.

I couldn't believe it.

He was begging the public to help him out!!!

He's freaking out because alot of hydro stores wont carry his products.

Probably because of the outrageous price tags.

No one in the right state of mind is going to put out the kind of cash he wants for his pretty bottles... snake oil.

I like keeping things simple, and I like having no sludge and crap clogging up my airstones, and not being taken advantage of in any way.

Iam not a kid, I have been around the block.

Nothing worse than being used, and abused, and being laughed at.

And Im sure the people at AN Laugh about how many newbies buy into their products.

He is not a nute God.

AN should change their ways, Makes me sick how they take advantage of the public.

And whats even worse, is that some people actually praise that company.

Please.

Thanks for your post buddy,

You do indeed know what your talking about.

Have a nice day, and Grow Hardy!

hell of a job man, you got some nice lookin plants!
Thank You LEDZEP,

Yea, there looking pretty good.

We are just now understanding the "Nute situation" when it comes to growing in Water.

So, the next grow will be bigger, and so much better.

There is always room for improvement.

But, hey I aint complaining.

We're approaching the finish line, and the buds are getting fuller and more dense each, and everyday.

Hope we see you again real soon.

Thanks for the reply, and the nice words.

Take care, CG :)

Hey Buddy,

Nice to see ya again. :bigjoint:

We should start calling you houdini.

Yea, we're giving the lucas formula a try, and so far the plants are waking up and finally smelling the coffee.

They look real good in the veg room, as you can see.

Im getting kind of worried again, since the veg plants are nearing the 30" mark, and thats even after chopping em down twice.

If I would of let em grow out, they would be maybe 5 feet tall right now.

I have learned how fast a plant grows in hydro.

Next time, Ill take the cuttings the first week into flowering, instead of doing em up so soon.

Not sure on the gallon price, But Im sure Ill have to find out.

I have bought the quart size for like 13 bucks a piece, so its not too expensive.

Wish me luck, :peace: CG :)

Always wishing the best of luck, may the ganja gods shine apon you!

And with a huge puff of smoke, Houdini is gone!

Congrats!

Got your beans eh?

Real Good..

Sounds like things are coming together for you.

Aeromisters huh? hmmmm..

My good buddy Donkey.420 should be able to answer that question.

He's into the aero scene, Im not.

The fan, well.. it matters how big the growspace is.,,So, I cant actually tell you if its good or not for your application.

So, you might have to experiment a little and see what works the best..

Best of luck, CG
