Solution to CFL foliage burn

In response to darkdestruction420- The setup in the pictures is a medical op with 15 flowering females, 5th week of 12/12. 600w HPS, 400w MH, and 4 65w soft white CFLs for inner foilage lighting.

One quick ? What wattage is that CFl? And do ya think if you put a much larger watt cfl in there, would the screen get 2 hot and singe some leaves - just expand the screen size...? And ya man, kinda new cfl grow technology (some people still never heard about cfl/led grows), make a few to slang at the hydro shop... & see how it goes. Good luck brah!

SHOSHON3N8TV- The bulbs I use are 65w soft white CFLs, the ones you can find at Home Depot and Lowes. Home Depot has the better price. I believe they advertise 4200 Lumens output on their 67w bulbs for 17 dollars. For a 100w light I would just expand the screen size. With a 200w bulb you start getting a heat problem, and anything growing over the top of the bulb is going to get fried. Even with 65w CFLs the amount of heat rising through the top of the screen is noticeable.
