attached is a screenshot from google earth. i have circled three patches of trees and i dont understand why they look different colors. the two on the left are right next to each other and totally different contrasts of green. anybody know why?

Well, for the two on the left, by the size of their shadows they appear to be of differing heights, so I would assume different species of tree and so have different spectral sensitivity, or different color wavelengths are being reflected in different proportions based on their chlorophyll pigmentation and whatnot.

There are bound to be kids roaming around those woods with their BB gun's so be careful growing around there.

logzz im not at all, i was scopiing things and noticed this allover and i just grabbed any screenshot.
 
i second the species and the height, but also they could be at diffrent altitudes like hill tops are more of a pine tree inhabitant and as u get lower diffrent tress thrive,
but also the color could be the sun, shadows or clouds,

it would also depend on the density of the location as the one on the far right is probably gonna be best for growing cause theres more open spots which means more light,
as i dont no how to grow in thick woods any ways,.
