And I'm not real good with search engine things, but I really don't t see any of the questions I have.

I was screwing around, and threw the seeds from some good weed into the pot of the plant my mother gave us and they grew, so I transplanted them into pots, and there they are. ->

I've read you guys posts for a while now, and my head hurts. I have no idea what you're talking about.

I write, so I read a lot, so my eyes are weak by this hour.

I have three. We call them Moe, Larry and Curly. :D

We're gonna raise them no matter what sex they are unless male plants stink, do they?

(That Q is from my wife, she doesn't like to kill things)

The other thing: I see you guys using 2000 watt bulbs, I'm using a 75 watt :D Is that too weak?

They seem happy. I had them in what little sun the northwest offers, but they seem a lot happier in the closet with that. meager as it is.

Anyway, love your site. I'm a smoker, but I lived in NYC my whole life. I never considered growing.

It's kinda fun

no you dont even want to waste your time with male plants they dont have buds they have pollen sacs. Once you sex them and see which is which yank them out and through them away......

I don't know which sex they are yet, but when we do find out, I'll give it some thought. No one ever comes here, so I'm not afraid of anyone seeing them. The wife likes em, so its up to her.

Hey there old timere. lol > your probably ok to grow under that light for now. But you should also consider getting something a little stronger lighting wise for when the little baby start to get bigger. Also as they are just baby's at the moment you should have them under your light for 24 hours a day 7 days a week until the become your girls. This will take a couple of week. Then its up to you how long you keep them in vegitative state. Usually around 3/4 weeks is fine. Then switch your lights to 12 on 12 off. this is to enduce flowering.

Your going to want to get some basic nutrition at least. ( mirical grow ) and read the instruction's.

Also If you do have a male plant in there. ( you wont know this until flowering tho ) you will have to destroy it because in will impregnate any female's you have and you wont get much smoke from them.

And finally, You will get much more help if you can work out how to upload some picture of them. Its not too difficult, and if you want it explaining then i will be sure to help you.

problem with the males is they will pollinate your females causing them to stop producing buds and start producing seeds very bad for yields

kill any males,they will only seed up any females you may have, no 75w is not enough, let me guess, its an incandesent?lol, how serious about this are you? I've got more detailed info but if your not really serious about this i dont want to waste my time, or yours,

what kind of 75w bulb is that Compact Florescent Light(CFL, the curly lights. i dont know if they go up to 75 actual watts) or incandescent(regular light bulbs)?

Will my old eyes be able to see the sexes pretty easy, or should I get a magnifying glass of some kind? (one is 6 inches tall now)

FWIW, i use medically, but if I didn't I'd still smoke. I love the stuff. The pills they had me taking cost about 2K a month to my insurance, and they didn't work anyway, so if I get a female, I'm not costing people money, I'm able to work, and no drug lords get a dime.

I'm good all around.

Life is about good karma right?

those lights wont work you have to have a CFL's atleast:

they make all sorts of lights, i think yours is halogen though, thats OK

but as the above poster mentioned; cfls are good to use
low heat
low energy cost

You 'll need a better light when they flower.
You'll need some fertilizer soon ( I suggest Foxfarm Grow Big)
They want at least 18/6 hours a day, Some do 24/0 & I tried that - but mine liked the 18/6 - I've read they need darkness for root development. Who knows. I know I'm cranky w/o sleep!

You may find these tips useful:

Use Feminized Seeds
Don't grow for yield first time - learn each stage - get good at each stage before second attempt
Have a good area to grow in - with proper light
Don't grow in stages/ have many sets in different phases - grow first set all at once to harvest
Soil not Hydro first time
Nutes from the beginning
Be PATIENT and have some thing else to smoke/eat for the 4 months it will take
Don't Tell Anyone
You 'll need 4 way measurement, 30x jewelers lupe, yasrdstick, temperature/hygro gauge

You should grow outside, thats a much easier and more cost effective option. If i could I'd much much much rather grow outside, you can get lb's a plant if you know what your doing. Can you or your wife dig like a 3 foot deep/wide hole? if you can do that, then fill the bottom with fish guts and that sort of stuff, then re-fill the hole w/high quality soil. make sure the holes in a place that gets lots of direct light. you will get alot of bud, just how much depends on how much light the area gets but it will be alot more then if you grew them inside you either way

agreed yields will be higher (pun intended) outside - but so is security issues, pest, etc....
Plus, you are at the mercy of the sun as to when they flower - you will have to wait until fall.
Inside is more control.
BUT I can argue outside produces better plants (duh).
BUT - can you actually tell the diff in a blind taste test?
