You mean in general or for medical use? I'm not sure if either is legal but there may have been a debate

In general, i already know for medical use. Medical use is just that if the persons is seriously going to die, they can smoke marijuana just to relieve some of the pain.

I recently read on the Internet that marijuana is not actually Legal in many countries around the world, although it is "accepted" in many countries.

I cannot understand why Governments around the world do not make their minds up - we have a situation in the US where somebody is arrested in connection with marijuana use, every 50 seconds, yet we have people smoking marijuana on the streets of Holland.

If the US decided to legalise marijuana, then the whole world would follow. Wil it ever happen? Im not sure.

My brother lives in Alaska. I had a friend whom worked on the Alaska Pipeline, He's since expired, that expounded the merits of Metanuska-Thunderfuck, a very potent variety of pot grown in the metanuska valley in Alaska. It seems that 20-24 hours of daylight in greenhouses produced some great pot. If I ever hear from my brother, I'll ask him the scoop. He was a prolific pot smoker in the day. Peace!

The governments around the world can't make it legal because the US made us all sign a treaty saying we wouldn't after WWI, so its the US's fault we can't.

Got references? cause I think your statement is false. The US Didn't criminalize it until 1937, and that was only after it was criminalized by many states in the 20s and 30s.

there aren't people smoking walking the streets in holland.... maybe during the cannabis cup... other than that, they prefer you keep the weed off the street and in the coffee shops....

He was right. We pushed for the UN single convention treaty on narcotics, and basically bullied everyone else into signing it.

It basically says that any country who enters into the treaty cannot legalize drugs.

Some countries have found a loophole and instead "decriminalized" drugs (which means they are still technically illegal, but the laws aren't enforced).

We could do that, too, but it would make us look pretty stupid since it's only been about 40 years since we pushed for this treaty.

The second portion of your statement isn't quite accurate, I also live in Alaska & know for a fact that under state law (very important) you are allowed to posses a max of 1 oz processed bud (1-4 oz is a misdemeanor). Additionally you may grow no more than 24 plants for personal use (Ravin v. Alaska).
And I got this straight from a police officer - even if they know you have a grow going they cannot obtain a warrant unless they can prove the following.
1: You have more than 24 plants (informant).
2: Be able to prove you are selling.
Other than that they have no legal basis for a search warrant.

That being said, the federal authorities are not constrained by these limitations, but fortunately they seem to limit themselves to large commercial grow ops and "chemicals".

The shits too funny to make up - if you want to see the actual post, click on the right of the quote you like.
And BTW, be careful what you post while stoned, several people around here collect little gems like that one.

or Mat-Su for short. Second, I don't think plants will flower with all that sunlight on them after vegging. I could be wrong though, I'm just a starter at this myself. But, the "Thunderfuck" that you refer to is very real.
