Caregiver Issues

Hey Guy's just registered and I have a bit of a situation. A friend of mine offered to be my "caregiver" which allows him to grow upto 15 plants for me, and inturn allows us to have 1.5 pounds every 60 days. Well I gave him a written authorization saying that he has my permission to grow on my behalf. The problem is, he's just finishing up the first grow and He's been telling me he's going to get a pretty good crop out from the 15 plants, but then tells me he may have a little "product" and money for me. I've read into the laws pretaining to this and as a caregiver he is growing weed for me, not for him or anyone else. I really dont want him growing and taking 95% of it and dealing it for himself and giving me just a little. As far as selling, I can legally sell it back to the despencery for 7 dollars per gram, I dont want him dealing it, I want absolutely no association with him if that's what he's doing. The problem is the authorization I gave him he says he's "lost" it. So he could continue growing and if he gets questioned flash the authorization from me and I inturn would be associated and could get my ass thrown in jail. I'm really worried about this and I'm not sure what to do. I can write up another letter essentially saying he no longer has my permission to grow on my behalf. For that to be official I believe he needs to sign it and we need a witness.. So any advice would be greatly appreciated. I dont want to screw my friend over and that's not my intent at all, I just dont want to be associated with this.

ill be honest with you man, i dont think i would call that a friend at all. a mmj card is a precious right that was fought for by a lot of dedicated people, and what he is doing is putting both you and him at risk of not only losing that right, but serious legal consequences.

imo i would put it to him straight that you want it to end, your using someone else as a caretaker and if he doesnt go alont with it, there are many places to get free legal advice on such a matter. 15 plants, thats WA? well being in one of the more pro-med states iam sure there are many attorneys and whatnot in the area that can give you some sound legal advice.

dont take this lightly, i think he might be putting you in some serious risk. but just my opinion.

Yea man, that's why i'm so concerened about it. I am clean as a baby as far as my record is concern, not even a traffic ticket and I dont want to get some BS charge on there because he was being dishonest and greedy. I plan on writing up a letter and havinf him sign it essentially saying as of today I no longer give him permission to grow on my behalf and intend on having a witness and i would like to get it notarized and i'll keep a copy in my safe deposit box.

Well I'm still living with my parents due to my disability, I dont get enough Soc Sec Disability to live on my own unfortunatly. We have had excellent summers the last 2-3 years So I may try growing 3 plants outside, we have trees and huge shrubs surrounding our property so no one would ever know. I also dont really smoke much at all, it doesnt help much with the pain honestly, it's more for the anxiety and it also helps me sleep. Normally it takes me 2-3 hours to fall asleep thats even with Abien and Clonazepam mixed which would knock out an elephant but it doesnt seem to help me at all. As soon as i take a couple of tokes i'm sleeping like a baby.

I'm with you there I NEVER sleep!! I use for anxiety also.. It would be cool to grow outdoor Ive nver been able to

Written authorization or not, the PATIENT ALWAYS has the right to change caregivers or REVOKE caregiver rights by submitting this in writing to your states MMJ program. Check with your particular states program and you can verify this. Some states limit the number of times you can change caregivers in a given timeframe, however.

true that they are registered with the state just like you are. contact them and get it sorted out with them first, then they will know you are on the up and up as well.
